Anyone have "wood" tile?

We are remodeling our kids bathroom & I am considering using a floor tile that looks like hardwood. I'm doing a glass mosaic backsplash, large white subway tiles in the shower, and a white vanity with a quartz countertop. Having a hard time finding something to match the mosaic tile so I'm thinking "wood" tile might be a good option. Also, its relatively cheap which is important as the mosaic tile was expensive. Just wondering if anyone has this type of tile & whether they like it. I'm assuming it can't really be scratched but wondering if it chips, will it show white underneath or does the "wood" go all the way through the tile? Also, considering a dark color so just wondering if it will show a lot of dust & dirt.

We laid it in our previous house with an open floor plan throughout the entire first floor (living room, kitchen, and bathroom). It does chip and scratch the same as any regular tile. It doesn't through normal wear and tear but anything scraping excessively or hitting it hard (again- like regular tile) could damage it. Mine showed "dark" in the damaged areas (sort of a burnt sienna) and not white. We LOVED it and it was unique and cleaned up well with kids.

It is just as durable as any other ceramic/porcelain tile so don't worry about it chipping. I'm not sure if the color goes all the way through or not -- that may depend on the brand you choose.

It would look gorgeous in your bathroom by the way you've described it. The dark color will show dust and hair more than a mid-to-light colored floor, but it shouldn't be very difficult to maintain...at least not as difficult as maintaining a dark flooring throughout your entire home.

I have the dark wood tile in my playroom that leads out to our pool deck. E have had it for 5 years and no chips or scratches, it is a high traffic area. Most people don't even realize it's tile! It is great to be able to wash the floor and super easy to maintain. I highly recommend it. I actually want to pull out the wood in the rest of our home to switch to the tile.

We have installed vinyl wood plank flooring in our last 2 houses. We love it for it's durability and easy to keep clean. It works great for wet areas, pets, and kids!
We used a higher grade in our last home and think that it was worth it to pay a little more.....it shows later on.

I've installed porcelain wood tile in my rental property but it's far from cheap. Mine has the coloring going all the way through. I put in 1000 sq ft of it. Tile is a lot more popular here than wood is and I would never do the vinyl flooring again so I've been wanting to try this wood tile since I first saw it 2 years ago.

The biggest complaint I have heard is the dust showing on it particularly in the corners. I went with a light color, it is almost gray looking and it matches well with the subway/mosaic tile and quartz countertop I selected. I can't speak to the wear because it's only went in a week ago but it looks fantastic.

that sounds like it would look great. we actually installed it ourselves in our home. just a tip. make sure your installer puts it down in a random pattern. that way it will look like real wood.
