We celebrated our 25th in Feb., we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and the Dolphin both. We had our anniversary dinner at Le Cellier, but the dinner the next evening was at The California Grill, and it was really the highlight of our trip. Walking out and watching the fireworks, with the music playing, and Jiminy Cricket narrating...oh, it really was magical.

I think that's our new, "must do" event for us when we go back.

Happy Annivarsary!!!

My DH and I are celebrating our 15th annivarsary (a bit late) at Cali grill next month. We are very excited about this. We live on an extreemly tight budget so this is way different than anything we have ever done before. The nicest place we have ever been is Outback, so this is big for us! Plus... we have been together since I was 15, married at 17, first baby at 19... noone thought we'd make it but we just know (sometimes you just know!) So it is great to reach this milestone and LOVE your spouse many times more than even when you first got married!!!

Last year my grandparents had their 50th annivarsary. They decided to drive to DL (from the Detroit area). We did some special things for them that made their trip special. (It is way easier BTW to do this at DW than DL!!!)

We had a basket ordered and delivered to their room. They had some left over stock from DL's 50th annivarsary so they used some of that in their basket. They got golden ears, a 50th celebrations photo album, stuffed bride and groom Mickey and Minnie, among otehr things. It was very customized, you could do that for sure.

We had shirts made with Mickey and Minnie bride and groom and had their dates put on them. They said something like Celebrating 50 years of marriage and 50 years of magic, or something like that. They got lots of compliments on them. We also ordered them the bride and groom ears which they wore proudly.

They had a very nice dinner at Napa Rose (I believe the nicest restaurant in DL)

Now this we didn't do, and you shouldn't assume it will happen to you, but when I made their reservations I told them of their annivarsary (and b-days, they were also within 3 days of both their 70th b-days, they are 8 hours apart) and how they met in 3rd grade and Gpa told Gma at the age of 8 that he would marry her someday and here they are... Anyway, the lady was enjoying the store (it is so sweet) and said she hoped they'd have a wonderful stay. When they arrived they were upgraded to the nicest suite overlooking Cali Adventure--- a $2000 a night room. They were also given lots of other little things, a couple rides alone, whole lines saying happy 50th, flowers in the room, treats delivered by room service. They took such good care of them it was wonderful.

Also, flowers to the room would be wonderful and I would love it if my DH ordered me a castle cake... (wonder how to get him to read this!!! )

Wahtever you do I am sure it will be special, enjoy!!!

my fiance and I are gettig married march 20 2011 and we want to do disney crusise and land package but we are not going on our honeymoon right away cuase it well be too crowded for us any way do you have an idea on how to make our honeymoon special

We're doing V&A Chef's Table for our Anniversary. I just changed hotels for that trip so we will now be at AKL so I'm thinking of maybe adding in the Sunset Safari experience in too.

I actually need to start planning out more of this trip soon as I also want to have a special cake made for us from GF bakery when we eat at Narcoossee's or Citrico's.

Not specifically an anniversary idea, but the intent is romantic, so here it is.

We're going for my husbands first trip in April and we found out this week that he will be gone on business for the two weeks prior. Then he'll meet me in Orlando. Poor man will be on the road for just over 3 weeks. This also means that he will be 2,000 miles away from everyone he knows except a co-worker from another office on his birthday.

So, my plan is to buy him tickets to La Nouba and put them into a card with a do not open till your birthday (and don't you dare lose them) and sneak them into his suitcase. He's always wanted to see a Cirque show, in fact he mentions it everytime we drive through Vegas on our way to DL. So I know this is something he'll want/love. Which is good since I swear he is the hardest person to buy for.

I know that I want to do the 9 pm show with dinner first and dessert after, but I still have to figure out where to eat. I'm thinking Raglan Road or maybe taking the boat from DTD to SSR to eat at the Turf Club. It might be safer than Irish food and Seafood. After I'm thinking Ghirardelli's for dessert (after since I know I won't be able to fit in dessert right after dinner).

My only problem is going to be buying the tickets without him knowing. He monitors the credit cards and bank account pretty closely...

wow that's such a nice surprise you're planning!

I booked La Nouba tickets through the website last month, and they went through my credit card as a "WDW DISNEY TICKETS LAKE BUENA VI FL"..
don't know if that would help you keep it a bit more of a surprise? could say it's just your park tickets or something?!
