Anyone have Uggs???

Jakesmom504,
I sprayed the boots with a protector (it did slightly darken them a hair (nothing major)) when I got them and that has really helped keep the dirt and other stains off them. I guess I don't wear them if it I know it is raining outside, but I will wear them if it is snowing out though (for me the snow is not as bad as the rain). I have been caught in the rain wearing them and they survived just fine.

In fact I just got my DS a pair of the booties since they are sooo warm and the heat will have to be set at like 50 degrees this winter cause we won't be able to afford it! :earseek: That was my excuse to my DH for getting my DS the booties! :rotfl2:

That's a dang fine excuse if you ask me! And so true!

Ok - I have these already...

$80 from Zappos during a sale in August

I still really like these

Regardless of the "dirt" factor...sometimes my chestnut ones just seem a bit "clunky" (from the thicker lug sole)

Think I'll suck it up and get them. :)
Hmm...do I order from Zappos...or hit Nordstorm this weekend...hmmmmmmmmmm

Sorry to be a PITB bumping this thread yet again.

Stink - I have the first two that you just showed. Brand new...can't wait to wear them. LOVE the sand though ;)

Never heard of UGG... how do you pronounce it? Is it like bug? of course without the letter b.

Yep
Or like ugly - without the "ly" heheh

I used to think they were fugly...I was a total ugg hater when they were "in"...but then I put a pair on.

Lord help me...they are so comfy. Wish I had them on right now

Scoutsmom99,
Thanks for the info, I still need to get some spray, so for now I'm not wearing them in any inclement weather. Did you get any old spray or the kind all the Ugg people sell?

Stinkerbelle,
I have the Ultra Short, in fact I have them on right now, I wear them around the house! I haven't tried the classic on yet but the Ultra Short don't feel clunky. Of course now since it's getting cold and everyone wants them, you can't find them for cheap. I have been searching ebay everyday to find cheap ones again, I'm driving DH crazy! :rotfl:

Stinkerbelle,
Sorry, I just looked at your picture again, your chestnut ones don't look like they have the same sole as the classic, do you know which ones they are?

I know they are warm and comfortable and all of that, but how are they really in the snow? I mean, can you wear them as a snow boot or are they more for fashion? Thanks for any info you can give me. :wave2:

Not sure - I bought 'em in Florida, and havent had a chance to snow them up yet. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

They are AMAZING comfy though - for real. And not the knock off ones, but the real ones??? Amazing!!! :thewave:

I just used some other spray I have for shoes. Make sure to test the spray on the heel of the boot in a little spot. I put two coats of the protector I have.

That is the first I have ever heard of that. Are the boots too tight at all? I actually have that problem with mine (being too tight), which is strange because I am about a 6 1/2-7 so I ordered a 6 Uggs, but they are too tight. Since I had my DS, my feet grew but I didn't think they grew that much. I'm thinking of trying a 7 Uggs but I'm afraid they will be too big. If you were allergic I would think you would have a problem all over your foot, not just your heel. :confused3

hmm.. yeah, good point. actually, mine can be quite loose on me, now that i try them on... maybe it's because they are too loose? :confused3 i normally wear a 9 and that's what i bought mine in, although, i think they stretched out and the wool flattened, because they feel kind of big now.

What seller are you watching? (can we share that info here? is that allowed?) If I can get them, w/ shipping and insurance, for under $100, I think that's a deal.

I haven't had blister issues with mine at all...I wear a 9/9.5 normally in shoes...i bought 8's in both the essential and classic. (the essential's run a smidge bigger) And they are supposed to be worn w/o socks. The 8's fit perfectly.

I haven't worn mine longer then a month - but no smell yet. My feet actually do not sweat at all in them. (My feet are always 'cold' though)

You can buy inserts for the bottoms if the 'fur' is getting too matted down...might give you some more support/less blistering if that's an issue.

I have a pair of the short ones. I've never worn them in the snow but wore them last winter and they kept me tootsies lovely and warm. Got them off eBay.

ok - sucked it up and bought them at Nordstrom today.
AND the water repellent spray. I've got all 3 pairs of my uggs lined up...just sprayed on the first application.

ok - seriously - NO MORE UGGS for me. heheheh
