I already have the Passporters Field Guide to DCL, and I saw this book on amazon.ca (Birnbaum's Disney Cruise Line 2006 ) does anyone know if it is any good, and would it be worth my $15 to pick it up as well?

Thanks in advance.

I would say it is not necessary. I have the 2005 one; I always buy the Birnbaum guides just for fun. They have a lot of pictures and are fun to look at, but they are not the most informative. The cruise one is pretty small and everything in it is covered in the Passporter.

I have it -- it does not have much information that is not in Passporter. I also noticed that some of the information (tour times, etc.) is out of date

The Birnbaum's Guide has nice color photos and general information. The PassPorter has detailed information, strategies for making the most of your trip, websites, etc. IMO, it is the best planning guide you can get. :thumbsup2

Stick with what you've got and look at the Birnbaum's in the bookstore the next time you go.

I bought it when I bought the passporter and it's not anywhere near as imformative as the Passporter. Like mentioned it has nice pictures. I'd only recommend you buy it if you're someone who loves to own anything Disney, but don't bother if you're looking for more cruise info.

Have both from 2005

Birnbaums in my opion on DCL is very poor, their WDW is far better.
Passporter, is reasonablly informative and I have seen the authors on the Magic looking at everything so worth having, but a lot can be read from the DCL official site.

I love the book, between the boards and the Passporter book I keep my self thinking about our upcoming cruise.

I have to agree with everyone. I own both and even though Birnbaum's is fun to look at, as long as you have the Passporter, you are good to go! :goodvibes

Ditto!! :thumbsup2 (Does anyone even say that any more???). :teeth:

I wouldn't buy the Birnbaum book, but you can probably get it through your local library.
Passporter's is awesome and worth taking with you on your cruise.

I have the Passporter and love it! But I just bought off Passporters website their e-book "Disney Cruise Clues." It is only 4.95 and is full of fun tips and things I highly recommend it! :thumbsup2
