Anyone have their hair highlighted on-board?

I haven't had it done, but when I checked the price it was about twice what it costs at a good salon here at home.

Unless it's absolutely impossible for you to get time away to get it done before hand, don't waste your vacation time getting your hair or nails done. Our 4 days zoomed by so fast and there were many things we didn't get to do or see onboard.

I get relaxing spa services every now and then on vacation, but never the maintenance stuff. That all gets done before we go.

This may be something really stupid to say, but.....the services in the spa, including the hair stuff is WAY more expensive than having it done at home. I can't see why anyone would want to spend their cruise in a beauty salon.

I usually schedule something a day or 2 before we leave--mani, pedi, both, hair, or whatever. It gets me in the vacation mood and it is much cheaper than doing it on board. I did the massage on board last time--fun, relaxation. I love the rainforest. But no way I'm going to spend my cruise time getting my hair cut/colored/etc.

I'm a stay at home mom to 3 kids so my free time before (and after) the cruise is limited to say the least! Plus, you know, free babysitting Just want to look pretty for the cruise pictures!

The last time I looked the price to have hair highligthed onboard was pretty much the same I pay at home $125 to $150. I'm not going to any high class salon either.
