Anyone have the tree up?

.....I'm still trying to find the last of those darned missing Easter eggs....

Only thing I've done is put up outside lights, because the weather has been so mild. They won't be plugged in until Thanksgiving (or the day after, if I forget).:rotfl:

No decorating until after Thanksgiving. It's a rule in my house. ;)

We always get a real tree, so that won't be for a few weeks, yet.

Since I'll be alone for most of this upcoming weekend, I may put out some odds and ends. Though most of my stuff is more winter (snowmen, etc) than strictly Christmas. :)

Ours is up and the outside is done. I still have some more Christmas china to get washed and put out and I need to find a replacement piece for the yard. I have a gap from where a decoration went bad. I am having trouble finding one that I will love.

I wish we could get a real tree, but my son is too allergic.

The outside of the home is decorated and ready to turn on (it's understated and tasteful per the neighborhood's culture, much to our chagrin as we'd like to do something more akin to the Osborne Lights!) and while we're in WDW this week our housekeeper, who is house sitting for us, will bring up all the boxes of decorations that I took out of storage in the basement before we left (we have, seriously, about 20 crates of Christmas decorations that we put up, plus five crates of ornaments and 24 "Christmas Village houses" in their own boxes).

We put up two live and three artificial trees in our home and two of the three artificials are already in their intended destinations (DD's and DS's bedrooms) due to their excitement with the third artificial to be brought up when I get home (it's 12 feet tall so too large for the housekeeper to carry without hurting herself).

The two live trees are ordered and will be delivered on Saturday before we get home that evening, so we'll dig right into decorating on Sunday morning when we wake up.

We love the holidays in our family and love to decorate, so we cannot wait to get started! It's such a warm and snuggly time of year!!!

Our Thanksgiving celebration is Wednesday, fake tree goes up Thursday. Our tree is pretty big, and we have loads of ornaments so it's a pretty big task. :)

Nope. About 2 weeks before is early enough.

I started playing Christmas sporadically since Andy Williams passed (just paying homage). It has driven DW crazy, but hey, I am who I am. I would like to decorate after Halloween but I think this year I pushed it a bit with the music so, the day after Thanksgiving it is! ;)

I put up the tree on Halloween and then we cut out lights (prelit tree) and then bought new lights. Almost done with it.

Then I will put up the rest of the stuff.

No nothing decorated here except the lights were put up outside but not turned on yet. Right after Thanksgiving.

We normally go to the mountains for our real tree the day after Thanksgiving. Due to DH & DS's work schedules this year, we can't go then. Also can't go the weekend after. So we went last Sunday. The tree was fresh cut and we're (I'm) watering 2 x a day. They were cutting and shipping truck loads out that day. So some of the trees you get in a few weeks might have been the ones we saw being shipped. :thumbsup2

DS was bored after we put the tree up so he put up lights outside. First time in 9 years we've had outside lights. They look good!

Oh, and all of my inside decorating is done also. Earliest ever! (And the house smells wonderful! )

No! There is no Christmas decorating at my house until AFTER Thanksgiving. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas. My birthday is 2 days before Christmas, so I really love this time of year, but I celebrate ONE holiday at a time. Imagine my disgust when I went into Walmart the day after Halloween and they were playing Christmas music.:rolleyes2

I used to always say that, but have recently changed my mind. I don't care for Halloween, and I think Thanksgiving looks more inviting with a tree. Fall is long over here, so "fall" ornaments don't really fit anyway.

DH and I put up our tree while watching the parade...and we're going to hang our lights around the outside of the house while our turkey roasts! :thumbsup2

We don't do a whole lot of decorating, mainly the TV room and the dining room. I havent started yet and usually don't until the second week in Dec but we will be going to WDW this year 12/16 so if I dont do it earlier this year it wont get done at all. We have a 4 foot tree in the tv room and a table top tree in the dining room but I will take that one with us to WDW so I need to get the ornaments out and ready to go as well. I WILL decorate our room at POR though! :santa:

:rotfl2: I love it! Hope they were not real ones. :rotfl:

Seriously, I am trying to survive and enjoy Thanksgiving first. I guess This weekend I can put away my pilgrams and pumpkins and start thinking about Christmas.

I have the whole house done. Whew!! The outside is almost done. We leave for Disney on Tuesday and I wanted it dome when we got home.
