anyone have teens/preteens who only eat CS

Basically CS and MAYBE one buffet is all I will get them to do. They will be so busy, rides, disney quest, etc I will never get them to sit down. Thats why I'm not doing the dining plan...but does anyone have any experience at the most reasonable counter service places??

Yes, my DD's don't want to eat TS. They are happy eating chicken fingers from the food courts. In the parks they like Casey's Corner and Peco's Bills. At DHS they like the ABC Commissary. Epcot we often split up and get lunch from different countries. They like Germany and USA the best. And I don't think they have eaten at AK! Too busy riding.

You didn't say how old they are. By thier late teens early twenties they are willing to eat at least a few TS meals. Although I found it was easier to get them to go to a buffet breakfast where we could all sit down together. After that they like to go off by themselves. We set up a time and place to meet up later in the day. As far as good counter service. They realy don't care and would rather just eat at whatever CS is closest the where they are standing when the hunger pangs start. My DS's are 19 and 21 and I am still waiting for them to start resembling human biengs again. I am afraid that is a lost cause till they are at least mid twenties. Sorry I can't be of more help.

p.s. Right now healthy at disney for them consists of those frozen bananas dipt in chocolate or a turkey leg.

And what, pray tell, is unhealthy about chocolat dipt bananas??? Hmmmmm??? You have your fruit (a banana, high in potassium), nuts (peanuts, a protein), and chocolate - straight from the bean itself - complete nourishment on a stick!! Can't get anymore yummers than that

As far as CS's go, my dd's favs are MK's Pecos Bill's, Epcot's Cantina de San Angel (loves the nachos) and DHS's Rosie's All American Cafe, it's by her two favorite rides, so... Since AK's Tusker House became TS, she hasn't found a replacement.

Why not do the DDP anyway? Let the kids eat CS and ride rides near your dinner location in the park. You and DH can then have extra TS credits for yourself.
