Anyone have reviews for Park Vue Inn?????? Please???

We stayed there in December and really liked it. The location can not be beat, right price for what it was. the only thing I didn't like was the energy saver lights in the ceiling for bad lighting (hate fluorecent bulbs) but totally support them, and wouldn't ask to change. They were very kind, and brought us a gift basket with white wine from Napa, and 2 bananas , 2 apples and 2 bottles of water. Great for the park!

One good thing is that for those using the Magic Express bus, it dropped off literally in front, and then we only had to walk to the covered bus stop next door at the Best Western to pick it up.

We will be at the Park Vue in less than a week! I will make sure to take a few pictures of the room and report back. The proximity, free parking, free internet, and free decent breakfast won me over. Oh, and the fact that I could put my kids in bunkbeds so they don't keep each other up all night. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm afraid I have a Park Vue Inn bug story. We stayed there in Aug '07. We had a 2-room suite. It was the last room on the ground floor next to the laundry room. It was a standard room w/2 queen beds, fridge, microwave, 1 bathroom and an extra bedroom w/1 queen bed. My sister was staying in the extra bedroom and she found a rather large cockroach on her floor one evening. My husband tried to squash it but we lost sight of it. At around 1:00 a.m., I met up with the bug in the bathroom. I tried to capture it under the ice bucket but it got away. My husband heard me squealing and he came in with his rather large shoe and took care of it.

I left the ice bucket on the floor near the toilet thinking the maid would pick it up and replace it. Nope. It sat there, overturned, for the rest of our stay. We had 5 people staying in the suite and they never left more than 3 bath towels. We always had to call for more. The front desk staff was nice enough but you'd think we'd get more than 3 towels for a suite. We also noticed the coffee pot was never cleaned and the mugs we used for coffee were never washed or replaced. It just seemed like shoddy work.

My parents stayed at the same time in a smaller room with a king bed. They liked their room well enough, but I was surprised at how small it was. There was basically enough room for the bed and very little room on the sides or at the foot. These rooms are along the right side of the hotel as you're facing it, behind the office. When they checked in, their coffee maker didn't work and they had to ask to get it replaced. They got another one that didn't work and finally got a winner on the third try. Again, the front desk staff was nice and accommodating but it seemed annoying to have to ask so many times to get something that worked.

I never went up to the breakfast because we had our own food but sometimes my husband came walking back with a donut or something he picked up there. It's true, you can't beat the location. It literally right in front of the crosswalk to DL and it worked well for my dad who was riding an ECV. We had a better suite this past July at the Desert Inn which is next door to Park Vue.

Would love for you to help me make a decission, May 2008 stayed at park vue and was really happy. Now we are returning to USA this october and would really have liked to stay again at park vue inn again BUT got a much much cheaper price at the desert Inn next door.Is the park vue inn worth an extra $880.00 AUD over 14 nights? or should we stay with desert inn, we will be happy? Would love some imput. Saving money on breakfast is important to us! THANKS

Some good comments and help here. You know, it would be really great if some of you left a few reviews on the reviews.wdwinfo.com page! It's a great resourse designed to help with this very thing. As we continue to build it up, it only becomes a more powerful tool for us all! :)
