I was disappointed to find out that I don't qualify for Lasik but PRK is fine.

I didn't even consider PRK so didn't research it much. The recovery is longer (time for the eye to stabilize) for PRK and they recommend 1 eye at a time. Also this is the one that causes possible pain for up to 3 days as opposed to no post operative pain for Lasik.

Now, I'm not sure that I want this done. Anyone have any experience with PRK?

My aunt had that done last year and she says if she had to do it over she would NOT do it. I know she was in pain for several weeks and had bad light sensitivity. Her vision is still not up to where it should be and she still goes to Tampa to visit the doc there for problems. Make sure you research it alot before deciding.

Thanks. I guess I will just remain in my "blind as a bat" category.

When I got my lasik there was a girl in the wating room who had it, she said she loved it, it was great. She had to get one eye done, wait a month, and then get the other one done. She was in and out in 5 minutes flat!
