Anyone have more infor about possible MGM character meal?

I know there have been many rumors, but has anyone heard anything more about the possible character meal at MGM? Will it be a Toy Story theme or just more boyish characters (peter pan, hook, tarzan, etc.). Any idea when it will open (if ever)? I sure am holding my breath for this one.

I have been watching the rumors now for a few years, but this latest one really seems to have some promise behind it. It was posted here that on the Disney corporated site they were advertising for auditions for the sarge role for a new character meal at MGM- so that sounds pretty solid. I believe the auditions were to be held on the 10th- today. I don't guess Disney has made an official announcement about it though- wish they would hurry up so we could all know exactly what is going on!!! Here's hoping the rumors actually come to reality this time around!!!

Since they are taking ADRs all the way into July now, I wonder when they will start taking ADRs for this? Sounds like fun! Sounds like something else that will mess up my carefully plotted dining plans!

I have it planned for our May trip as well! I just got finished drawing up "Plan B" - just in case!

I never thought I would say this but this makes me happy I am not going until Oct. (did I just say that? ) At least this way I have time to get more info and make an ADR.

I just called wdw-dine to ask some questions about our upcoming trip in May. I did pose the question about the Character meal in MGM starting in April, and she said she had no information and could not comment on it at this time....but..by the tone of her voice, i could tell she was hesitant. I then asked, 'Would you recommend us keeping our breakfast table service open for our MGM day (we are doing the premium dining plan) just in case they do decide to offer a character breakfast?" and she said, "I would definitely recommend doing that".

Not sure how much that helps anyone, but, that is my experience as of about 6:30 pm MST today.

That would be awesome if it is starting in April. We will be there at the end of April and beginning of May. I have a late lunch planned at 50's Prime Time on our MGM day, but would easily add breakfast in the am, then pay out of pocket for 50's Prime Time. My DS 6 would be just thrilled considering we are doing two princess meals on this trip. Now DH might be another story as we have 5 character meals planned. (CP, CM, PSB, LTT, and CRT).

You're not alone, I'm also planning my meals for August - we (group of 14) are going 8/6-13. I have book the Luau for Tuesday night - we wanted to go Monday night since it's my aunts birthday but they don't have it on Sun or Mon.

I usually go by myself in the off-season so I don't do too much advance planning because it's easier to get in but not in August for 14 people.

Most of the kids going are boys so I'm hoping for Toy Story character meal.

I have already booked 1900 Park Fare for breakfast in hopes that the Fairy meal rumor comes true as well!
