Anyone have luck with Sweet Peas?

I'm considering growing Sweet Peas (the flower) but I'm getting toward the end of the planting window in my area. Anyone grow these? I've always liked them, but don't know of many folks around here who grow them. I've found a good website & will probably go through with it, just wondering what others have done.

I've got some..they are rather prolific here..last year was their first, so I'm not sure what they will do this season.

I have grown them successfully, but I had to pick planting locations that were not in our direct hot sun... they seem to do better with a little "cooler" conditions then what my typical environment provides.

I just planted mine last year as well. I will have to see how they di when the snow is gone. Should be sometime in July. I hope they come back strong. I really like how they looked last year...

Well - I germinated them indoors using wet paper towels - took a week. Then we planted them on 3/9 and I see sprouts coming out of the ground already! DH & I were sore form preparing the soil, but I think it'll be worth it. I'll post once I see real plants coming up!
