that leaves from Dover so I need to get over to London from Vancouver. The best price I have found is with Air Transat by about $1500 for a family of 5. However, AC has great cancellation policy so maybe the insurance will be less than Air Transat.

Also for a family of 5 we have to pay for seat selection or we end up apart and that jacks up the cost.

But my real question is ARE THEY ANY GOOD? Does anyone have any good or bad reviews?

This DCL cruise is super expensive so we are trying to go on the cheap, but don't want the flight over to be a nightmare.

Any advice is appreciated.

I came close to booking Air Transat for our DCL Europe cruise next summer, and the research I found was they are fine. I was emailing one gentleman that takes them often he said has always been on time and service fine.

I was hesitant to book as I am returning from Barcelona and Air Transat only has 1 flight a week so I kept delaying booking, well I kept checking Air Canada every day and then in the beginning of October the fare went from $3900 for 3 people down to $2500, it was down for only 2 days and since then it has been back up, so I guess I lucked out.

I know a travel agent and she suggested waiting till January to book as at the time seat sales were only going to mid March.

Are there seat sales in January usually? I noticed there was a seat sale to europe with AC which expired on Monday, but the price for 5 was still $1500 more.

I guess I'd rather go with AC or BA or a non-charter airline, but I want the best price.

Where do you usually check for best prices? On the airline site itself or do you go to expedia or something like that?

I was using orbitz.com to track the airfare, and then I booked through Air Canada.com.

Last year after between Christmas and early January Air Canada had a good seat sale.

Used Air Transat to go to the Dominican, was told the plane was under renovation, therefore no in flight video or audio, not so quick to use again.

I have many clients that have used AT..the majority were not impressed for one reason or another:confused3

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but did you do a PI on the Oasis and how was it?

I did indeed! It's BIGGGG!:lmao:
Initially--I thought way too big then as we made sense of what was where, it became pretty cool It really is an amazing Ship and if you are looking for lots to see and do, this is the one for you! Central Park is lovely albeit nothing like the real CP..the Boardwalk is like Coney Island..there is zip lining, flow rider for surfing, cantilevered hot tubs that hang over the side...great little cupcake shop onboard and even a Coach store...trust me, they have thought of everything on this one!
