Anyone have experience w/ taming a wild cat?

i'm SO pleased everything worked out, and i'm loving everyone's stories!!

when we first moved into my dad's house, next to a very wooded area, we were adopted by 2 kitties...one of them waltzed right in just like she owned the place, but it took us a lot longer to get Scaredy Cat used to us (thus...the name :rotfl: )

10 years later, he rules the roost with the other cat's offspring, Love (yes i have a thing for descriptive names, hahah). Oftentimes he'll stand on the counters and bat at you as you go by, so he can get some attention. He still only likes to be held a certain way, but at least he lets us hold him!

He's a fluffy kitty too, a very light cream color. He's getting old now, but of course i still think he's a pretty kitty. :lovestruc

awww.. she is so sweet!! DH always called our house Puzzle's *retirement home* hopefully your kitty will learn to love retirement as much as Puzzle did!!

:rotfl2: too funny, and LOVE the name! (see my aforementioned affinity for descriptive names, hahah)

Once she really realized she could relax & trust all of you, she probably realized she can be living the high life that your other indoor kitties are. :thumbsup2

I think you're right about this. She's lounging next to me right now, and I've been petting her for awhile. Whenever I pull my hand away from her, she follows it and even tries to "catch" it so that I can pet her again. :cutie: She's a sweetie.
