Were making a weekend trip to Disney in December and used all my DVC points already. Wondering if any of you have a entertainment coupon for the Howard Johnson your not going to use? Would love to take it off your hands!!
Checked what the AAA discount would be what want to see if the coupon gives more than AAA.
Thanks!!

I just checked our coupon from the entertainment book. I originally booked using our CAA discount (20%)and the entertainment coupon says the same amount (20%) but when I called about the coupon, we would have paid more using the coupon by $15 extra a night. In any case they're both a 20% discount. Maybe i called too close to our leaving date so that was the difference in price??Hope that helps.

The HoJo entertainment rate doesn't use a coupon, but the card that is located in front of the book. You can check to see if they are offering the 50% off entertainment rate without having the card in hand.

I just bought a 2012 entertainment card (without the book) on ebay for less than $4.00. We live in a very rural area, where the book is of no use to us.

Have you checked room prices online using code LNDB (Disboard discounted rate?) When I check the rates, they seem to cost less than with the AAA discount. You can check online, just enter that code in the promo code area and make sure you have 'promotion' rate plan checked off before you check. :)

I have an entertainment card if you need. I bought 2 books - Orange county and then the one in my state. In you need one, message me.

I am using one for my HOJO stay - 50% off. I got rooms for $69 per night. :cheer2:

Can you tell me how you check without having the card? We have reserved with a AAA rate, but the 50% off rate would be better!

Thanks!

Most likely you have the best rate you will get already.

The Entertainent Rate is not simply 50%, it's only available on certain dates, otherwise you get 15% off with it, the same as the DIS or MC discounts.

When is the ENT rate available? Check the link below.

I am from CO so I was wondering if I buy the enterainment book for my state and use the card, or do I have to buy one for CA? TIA

Thanks for the info. We are planning a mid-May '12 trip. I checked the link and there are no available dates for next year yet. Do they open them up a little at a time? My understanding is that May is fairly slow, but not really off-season.

The AAA rate is still really good for us. That $99 kid suite would be excellent though!

We just got back from HoJo using the Ent rate and I booked it way back in January. I did not wait long after they released the dates to book so it must have been around Jan 23rd when they released the dates for the year. I did notice they released a few different days in later months - guess they had to figure out their occupancy - so if your date is not there keep checking back :thumbsup2

We were in Tower 1 and had a great time, the room was HUGE and we were not bother by traffic noise (with the A/C we could not even hear it). The rate was $59 a night  Not going back to DLR until 2013 but will definately keep checking on the HoJo Ent rate!

Excellent summary of how the Hojo Ent rate works and how to work it.
