We are thinking about gettting a new van. We have a Windstar that I really like but it is almost 8 yrs old and has 70k miles on it. Today I went and looked at the Freestar (newer version of the Windstar) and I wasn't impressed. It felt "cheap" to me and I was looking at the Limited model, top of the line.

Toyotas are too expensive and Hondas aren't much better. So I am looking at the Uplander because I can get the extended wheel base. With three labs and all our "stuff" we could use the extra 9" :teeth:

Opinions? And suggestions for something else?

TIA!!

i bought one just last week! i LOVE it so far :cloud9:
we bought the extended 'entertainment' version. it has the 40 gig hard drive for games, movies, music downloads. seating for 7. tons of extras. the seats are super comfy and the gas mileage isn't so bad.. it does have a HUGE gas tank, took me $60 to fill it and it wasn't on "E".
the one thing i wish it had and it doesn't is a power rear lift gate... oh well. it's way better than my 2004 nissan quest that i had tons of problems with. and with all these added features any other car would have been way over $40k. i say go for it!

I use one for work provided by work .We get new vans every 3 years or so .

I like the sit and feel of this one even with it loaded with parts.

I drive anywhere from 20 to 200 miles per day both big city to highway ( Baltimore to DC ) and average about 20 mPG
