Just received my pair today that I ordered online. Just not sure if they will be as comfy as the "regular" ones (forget the name). Not sure about the springy heel or the thong in between the toes (and I'm a regular flip flpo wearer!) Anyone worn them all day in the parks?

I think I'll keep them as I did get a good deal, but should I bring em to Disney?

Hi , I just came back from wdw and wore them all day for 10 days. I had no problem with them. I did switch off and on with the regular ones. \
My feet were never sore. :)

I had to wear Athens Crocs by default for the final three days of our trip last year due to a toe injury and felt fine the whole time.

I had a pedicure the day prior to leaving for vacation and ended up with an infection in my big toe  . I couldn't even tolerate the pressure of a pair of socks for a couple of weeks. I wore Nike tennis shoes the first day and upon taking them off at the end of the day I knew they weren't going back on! The Croc Flops were intended to be my pool shoes but they ended up pulling double duty! I have seen on here that some people complain about discomfort in the ball area of their feet and some say the strip between the toes is too thick but for me they were a godsend and I was surprisingly comfortable the whole time!

Yes, I still get pedicures but I no longer let them push the cuticles back.

I'm a regular flip flop wearer too and the Athens are just "eh" to me. I wore them this past winter when we walked around the different resorts but I couldn't wear them for a whole day at the parks. Something about the toe strap thing is just not comfortable for me for a long period of time.

I really want to like them and wear them for this September trip so I've been walking on the treadmill with them (slow speed) but I'm still not finding them as comfy as my Beach or Cayman styles.

I know some people swear by them so I'd say really break them in before you go to see if you like them :)

I love my athens, and I'm picky about my flip flops. The thong thing on other flips always bugs me, but the athens do not. That said, I'd never wear anything other than a good pair of nikes and socks to WDW, so I won't be any help for you there. It amazed me how many people wore regular flip flops to WDW! My feet/ankles/legs would be so sore! lol

I also am picky about flip flops but really like the Athens. I can't wear "regular" Crocs cuz I have huge feet but the Athens seem to work ok.

Anyhow, I don't think I could wear them at Disney, though. If I wear them for extended amounts of time, they seem to be hard on my knees.

Have you looked into the Montrail Molokinis? Those are supposed to be THE flip flop!!!!

I suggest you to wear them alot before trying them in disney. I have a pair but find that they rub the top of my foot. (I have fat feet) When my feet swell they really rub a blister on top. Good luck.

I have both the Athens and Capri flip flops. I much prefer the Capri ones as the toe post is a fabric material as opposed to the rubber toe post on the Athens. (Athens are now in the back of the wardrobe collecting dust even my mother didn't want them)
I wore the Capri's every day for 2 weeks while in Spain last month and intend to take them to WDW in October.

My DH and DM have now purchased Capris for our trip.

I have now worn my Athens crocs for a year and just love both my pairs. I also have two pairs of the "imposters" from Payless and besides for the foam material being slightly softer, find them very good as well. What I have started doing this summer is throwing them into the washer with a load of towels and find that this beats scrubbing them to get them clean! :thumbsup2

My athens are sooo comfy but it took several wears to soften up the post. I've never worn flip flops that have such a thick, spongy heel like the athens do. My next trip I will only bother to bring 2 pairs of shoes...regular crocs and the athens flip flops because my last trip I had brought several different comfy shoes and wore nothing but crocs for 10 days so I might as well save the luggage space!

Absolutely LOVE my Athens. :thumbsup2 My Mom bought her a pair after she kept "stealing" mine when she visits. She never wears flip flops but they changed her mind. I will have to try the Capri style.
I have even been eyeing the new "Crocs with Sox" that we saw in a store this weekend with colder weather in mind.;)

I wish all my shoes had the comfort of my Athens. They will definately be in the suitcase for our next trip.
