We are ready to book our airfare for our october trip, but cant find good rates. i check delta daily, and it seems so high, unless the rates are the norm now. right now its about 517 RT each on Delta. we did get $400 in vouchers each from delta for getting bumped last year, but that still seems high, i dont think ive ever paid more than 375 RT from phoenix to orlando in all the years we have flown. should i wait, or get them now?

You may want to also post this on the Transportation sub forum. Lots of great info there.

We flew in Oct 2011 from PHX to MCO and paid about $400 each for nonstop flights on US Airways.

Are you set on using the Delta vouchers or can you use them for another trip if you find better airfare with another airline?

We got killer fares on Southwest for our May trip. We are in Tucson but flying out of Phx. $112 going there and $157 coming home. I booked them separately because I jumped on the going there flights even though my coming home flights were opened for booking yet. Then I had to wait a few months before we found a good deal for coming home.

We had a ton of airfare miles on our Capital One saved up so in the end we ended up paying $309 for all 4 of us to fly round trip!

Its could still be early for you to see good fares for October. I checked every single day until I saw a price drop.

i wanted to stay with delta since we have the $400 travel vouchers each to use, and dont have another place to fly to.
