I have had an achy foot for awhile now...

In my toe (Mostly the bigone) and often up my calf at the back. Gets very painful...just wondering. No scary stories please...I am a wimp;)

My feet have ached since I was around 16 years old. My parents took me to an orthopedic specialist who couldn't find anything. He gave me some inserts for my shoes but they always made my feet ache more.

I've just learned to live with it. Some days are more painful than others - when it gets really bad I elevate them and take some Tylenol. Invest in really good shoes, they help.

Check with your doctor to see if your circulation is okay - could be a sign of diabetes (sorry if this is too scary, but important to catch early). Good luck.

I use to have achy feet all the time but then I decided to invest in some good shoes and ever since I've had no problems at all.

My favorites are Easy Spirits and Aerosoles, my feet love them.

I went to see a doctor because I have a bump on my foot above my big toe that annoys me. Both my big toe areas have bothered me for a while, but I just wanted the bump removed so I could buy "cute" shoes! Turns out I have severe osteo arthritis in my feet. I now have to see an orthopedic surgeon! All this because I wanted cute shoes!;)

Yep...both of them right now.

I got ran over by a stretcher at work last night that had a 370 woman on it...

Does it ache in the area where your achilles tendon is? It might just be inflammation...Call your doc. He might tell you to try some ibuprofen, rest, and gentle heat. But definitely follow up on it if it doesn't go away!

::yes:: I'm in the midst of trying to find something comfy too. I have always had really high arches and now, in my fifties, they are starting to bother me. Very achy lately.

I do a long time on tread mill on high ramp. my feet allways hurt

I have achy feet every night after work. The hazards of staying on them all day.

Not since I invested in good, comfortable walking shoes (New Balance). They have "roll bars" to keep my feet stable and they are super comfortable. My feet never ever hurt/ache anymore. I'm a waitress so I'm on my feet all the time.
