Anyone have a vintage Airstream?

I am looking for some resources and opinions. We would really love to go to a trade show and see some remodeled ones. Do regular RV shows ever have any?

We are a family of tent campers. After reading this board (a bit too much ) I thinking how cool a TT would be...

We have a vintage Pace Arrow and I know there a couple other vintage MH's and TT's posted on the boards. I'll have to try and locate them. Renovating a MH is so much fun, but also a lot of work. We did the work ourselves and it was fun because, unlike a house, we wanted to do the work and didn't have to do the work.

I've not noticed many at the fort in past years, though I recall as a child seeing airstreams at the Fort in 1970s/80s.
I work in classic cars, so I would wager you can probably google information on airstream clubs/events. I am sure there are some. I've seen on the travel chanel shows that include talking about vintage airstreams. I know thats kind of a trendy thing in Hollywood now for actors to have rehabed airstreams but personally I think they are a bit cramped looking.

duranfan, thanks for the hint-clubs/events-I was searching trade shows. I would like to get a real life look at them before getiing my heart set.

We are a do it yourself kind of family with limited towing capacity so it seems like a good fit for us. Maybe a good fit in theory .
