We're thinking about getting one of the Vaio all-in-one computers. Do any of you have one of these? How do you like it? We saw one at Costco tht seemed like a good price. Maybe not the most powerful one we could get, but still ok for our purpose, and a good value.

It would be for a second family computer and we were thinking about the all-in-ones so that it could sit on a desk in the study (near the computer desk where the full-size computer is) and not take up a lot of room. The keyboard flips closed, which would be good when the desk is being used for other things.

We looked at this as well.
Not ready yet so I just bought a flat panel screen.
What kind of pricing did Costco have?

You can get a Sony Vaio W- Series for $999? That's a really good price.

We just got a V-Series for our daughter and it was over $1500.00

She loves it. It hardly takes up any space at all on her desk, she can watch TV (and record it if she wants.) We've had our Sony Vaio Desktop for almost 7 years now and DH won't buy anything else ;)

If you can get a W-Series for less than a thousand I'd jump on it. CompUSA shows the computer for $1999. http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=313110&pfp=BROWSE

This one is the V series, if I'm remembering correctly. I don't think that tv can be watched on this one. I know the higher ends ones have that feature, but that wasn't listed in the specs. We priced out other Vaios, along with similar machines of other brands and they all started at $1500-$2000. We've never done one of these "computers in a box" purchases, but the price seems right and my kids do need an additional computer, especially during the school year with school work, research, and of course the ever-popular e-mail and IM. My DH and I each have our own laptop so these are strictly for the kids, the spoiled creatures that they are. ;)

I LOVE Sony computers. I've owned Packard Bell, Compac Presario, and Hewlett Packards, and the Sony makes them all look like junk. ::yes:: I would never buy anything else.

An all-in-one has a keyboard, mouse, and monitor, but the inner workings of the computer are in back of the monitor instead of in a tower that sits on the floor or desk.

ToriLammy's second picture shows one. They are cute little buggers!
