Anyone have a new Platinum AP able to download pics?

My son got a new Platinum AP which includes the free downloads (theoretically). If we go into the PP site on the computer and I try to download any it tells me we have to pay $14.95 for each. He can log into his MDE app and see them and download and email them but it loses a lot of quality. Is this just a glitch as they transfer the system over or am I missing something on the desktop site? Thanks!! (I've been on hold with the PP phone number for 15 minutes so far and still holding).
 
Are you trying to download using his log in or yours? Since he has the AP, only he can get the free downloads.
 
I'm using his log-in. I finally got through on the phone after a long time and evidently there's a problem with his account. They did a bulk download for me of all his pics so far (so I have them but wasn't able to add borders or edit or anything) and said they opened a ticket with IT for me and hopefully someone would help in 48-72 hours. Somehow his account shows the Platinum Pass but not the Photopass Entitlement and the Photopass folks couldn't add it in. I'll update if/when it gets resolved!
 
I can download some photos. Specifically, when on the website, I can download photos taken before July 26 but can't download photos taken after July 26. However, this is reversed on the app. When using the app, I can download photos taken after July 26 but not before July 26. For the photos I can't download, it shows a message that they are not part of my entitlement. I haven't had time to call to get it straightened out yet.
 

JayLee - I just tried to see if that was the case but I can't download any. If I click on any pic I get the $14.95 charge option to download it. The CM on the phone downloaded all old files for us but if I go in and add a border or anything I can't download that. On the plus side I got pics back to May (and just activated the pass yesterday) with the mass download. Sounds like it's just a problem for us then, not for everyone with an AP. I'll hope IT gets back to me at some point and have the name of the person I talked with. Good luck!
 
I thought by editing your photos you were now in Memory Maker territory. Photo Pass, if I'm not mistaken, is just the photo download without the borders and other edits. Since the AP (gold, platinum, and platinum plus) now include Photo Pass, that would just be the original photo and downloads without edits.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
You are mistaken. Anybody can edit their photos - then they can buy the edited version, or an unedited version, or both, or whatever.

I already found my answer. I adjusted the post to show that...now curious to see her outcome.
 
Update: I called back today and no IT ticket shows as created in the computer. I was told today, the pictures in the account are good til Nov 11th not 365 days as the previous person said last week. This person said that hopefully the issue with my son's account will be fixed before that date. Otherwise, they'll try to go in and find the expired pictures.

Apparently, IT is working with an issue about multiple entitlements. And hopefully, it will be resolved in the next couple weeks. I was told to call back by Nov 11 when pictures begin to expire if it's not fixed by then.
 
Tink - I also called back yesterday. They assured me they'd be good for 365 days (sounds pretty random depending on who you talk to!) and that they were doing a "big patch" on Thursday that hopefully "might" fix it. The CM I talked to said he'd call me on Friday to see if things were working. Of course he's also the same one who promised me it would be fixed by the end of last week. Keep us updated and I'll do the same!
 
OMG - they work today after the update! I can see and download all of the pics going back to October 3 (the day he activated his pass, a day before the big change). Any before that still show I have to pay (I was at the park on Oct 1 and those still have the wavy lines). Hope yours is fixed too!

Yay! Didn't work yet on my phone. Will try on laptop. Thanks for the heads up.
 
Works perfectly on the laptop! Not at all on MDE on the phone. But I can download them from the photopass website on the phone.
 
Just wondering, can you download the photos of friends and family connected to your son's MDE account? Or only photos scanned with his Magicband?

I don't have the PP option with my pass, my 11 year old son does. I now can download any picture that was added to his or my account from the date his pass was purchased, Sept 25th. I cannot download videos.

Yes on pictures from rides, no on video. It shows in my account, but the download button doesn't turn green.
 
I can do both. My son also is the only one with it. If I log into his account (phone or computer) and click the button to see all pics (not just his), I can download all pics and videos from anyone going back to the first day of his new pass use (Oct 3 for him).
 
Tink (or anyone else) - if you're on your phone make sure you go into filters and change to everyone (at the very bottom - View All instead of Only Mine):image.png
