Anyone have a Motorola RAZR cell phone?

Actually this is a question from my DD15, who figures if anyone might know the answer, it would be someone here! Or as she says, "there are like a billion people on there."

Is this the cell phone that when someone calls, you can set it so that their picture comes up?

That phone has that feature, but many others do also. The big feature on that phone is its thinness, though it comes at a price. And it is the current 'in' phone to be seen with.

I've never heard good things about the RAZR...the first generation one at least...

My dh and I both have Razr phones. He's really mad because they have the black one now and he asked before he bought it if it was coming out in black, they said no! He's a bit of a cell phone addict.

I will probably buy the black Razr for my 15-year-old son for Christmas. I always read the reviews at www.cnet.com first, and they liked the Razr. Consumer Reports also rated it fairly highly in their January 2006 issue that just came out. Btw...I just did a search to find out what OTHERS here thought about it!

I ended up having to have mine replaced. Thank goodness is was still under the manufacturers warranty! The #, 8 and one of the other keys just quit working. Try having to make a call and not be able to use an 8!

DD loves hers although it really doesn't pick up as well as her old Nokia. Being a college student she gets a kick out of hearing over and over (when she takes it out to make a call or answer one), "OOOO!!! You've got a Razr, and it's a BLACK one!!!"

My friend has one. When she answered it in an elevator with her DH, and everybody started having a fit over it, he whispered and said, "I've got to have that phone!"

I guess it can affect all sexes and ages!

My dh wants one for Christmas, but it is so expensive to purchase outright. We arent eligible for an upgrade right now with Cingular.

You know t-mobile has a limited edition pink one right now.. actually it's magenta.


Also you can change out the casings of your phone to make it a different color. My sil has one and just changed hers to pink.. like a powder pink..

I plan on upgrading mine to magenta

After my last flip phone ended up being a 2 piece phone, I've sworn off flips. Granted, it did last almost 2 years, but still...it was a motorola too, now i have a Kyocera without a flip and I like it.

I do like the Razr, but there is no way I could justify the $$ even with a plan, its still over 100 bucks here, no way for me
