I was just looking at the Maclarens again and noticed the Maclaren Global Buggy. It looks a bit more cushy than the others (Quest, Techno, etc.), but I have never seen it mentioned on the boards. If anyone has this could you please post the pros and cons of it. It does appear to be heavier (19 pounds I believe) but I wonder if it pushes just a dreamily as my Volo and if the handles are as high, etc. We are expecting again and I need something besides the Volo since it doesnt recline. Thanks

I bought this model after reading about Costco having a good deal on it. I think I paid around $180 there. I think it usually retails for around $300. I barely used it before our 10 day WDW trip in Sept. DH hated this stroller from the beginning because it didn't fold well. On our 7th day of our trip, the stroller started collapsing as we were walking down Main St. at MK. The frame actually cracked on both sides and my DH (who is an engineer) and a really nice MK maintenance guy managed to patch the stroller back together with zipties! I returned the stroller to Costco after we returned home. Thank goodness for Costco's awesome return policy!

I found this review on baby-gaga.com after I returned my Global Buggy: http://strollers.baby-gaga.com/maclaren-global-buggy.php If you look at the "sturdiness" section of the review, it appears that someone else reported a similar breakdown to what I experienced.

Wow, thanks amarberry for the heads up on this one. It looks so nice in the picture and I love my Volo that I would have never dreamed a Maclaren would do this. Guess I will stick with a Techno or Quest for this baby.

I had one too! While I am a huge fan of Maclaren strollers, I really did not care for this one. (I've got a Vogue and a Techno too!) One thing I have really liked about Maclarens is how easy they are to fold--like I could hold the baby on my hip and fold the stroller with the other hand. Not so with this one. It was pretty difficult to fold, and was much bulkier when folded. The only thing I really liked about it was that you could attach a carseat to it. I used it for about 6 mos. (including 1 Disney trip) and then gave it to a friend. I am currently using my VERY old Vogue 2000--it's my favorite!
