Anyone have a good meal at Mama Melroses lately?

I'm getting my ADR list ready for November. We've never had lunch (or dinner for that matter) at Mama Melroses and was looking for a review.

I've read some negative reviews in the past, I'm hoping it's gotten better!

We love Italian food and we have a tough time finding a decent Italian meal in the World. That being said, we actually thought it was pretty good! I really liked the pizza and they have some dessert there that is rolled in chocolate covered coffee beans that my dh goes crazy for... . And both my kids enjoyed the pasta. We definately wouldn't go out of our way to eat here...but I wouldn't avoid it either.

We ate there Jan 06 and didn't care for it. We really like Italian, maybe it was too authentic and we are Americanized. Our service wasn't the best either. The pasta was old, the chicken was a little cold and the sauce was cold. We did the Fantasmic package and the Rest wasn't busy.

We only ate counter service at MGM in November. Maybe it's an MGM thing, we didn't enjoy Hollywood/Vine in '04.

I hope its better for me in a couple of weeks. I will be sure to report back~ Good bad or ugly

However, Im no food snob (I love Olive garden and Fridays) so my reviews will have to be accepted accordingly

We liked Mama Melrose when we ate there in July, and we're returning there again this July for the Fantasmic package. DH mentions this as one of his very favorite places from our last trip, and he's 3/4 Italian, so he has some experience with Italian food. My meal was good, and the kids liked theirs too.

Of course, it's not gourmet, but it is a relaxing atmosphere, and the food we had was well-prepared. Our service was good too.
