anyone have a good halloween craft?

I need a girl scout halloween craft that does NOT involve paint or a big mess.

The girls want to wear their costumes to the halloween party so I don't want to do anything too messy.

They are in 4th grade (age 9) and everything I have found so far is too babyish or too complicated. I think I am getting burned out after 4 years of this and being a room parent!

Thanks for any new ideas or suggestions.

I saw this on the Carol Duvall Show...My DD is in 4th grade too...I thought she might enjoy making these...

Basically all you would need is the plastic wrap, floral tape, orange slices and 1/2 cup measuring cups to get the shape.

Someone I work with just gave me a pattern for little halloween bags made out of felt. She had made them with her girl scout troop. They were pretty easy to make, so if you want me to give you a rundown, I can try. Just let me know.

What they looked like... the bags were solid color with the faces glued on (black felt). Orange for a pumpkin, purple for Frankenstein and White for a ghost.

I found a craft on the hgtv link from yummy.

We are going to make votive candle holders. We are going to take glass votive cups and decoupage orange tissue paper onto it and decorate with black construction paper jack o lantern faces. Not too messy and something they can actually use to decorate for halloween.

I know you said you already had a project but I thought you might want this idea for some other time. We love making the seed bead pins. You can string them together also to make bracelets if you want to make that many of them. This website has a pattern for pumpkins and lots of other patterns.
