TV program that was cancelled this year ?

I really liked The Chicago Code and Off the Map and they were both given the ax this week

several!

Detroit 187 and Traffic Light are two that I will really miss. I am hoping the Detroit 187 might get picked up by a cable network.

I'll be posting an updated list at the end of next week, in the Television Spring 2010 thread.

I've watched many of the canceled shows, and some of them for a number of years, actually, but the only one announced so far that I really wish would have been renewed is Human Target. The rest either had already run their course, or didn't have a decent course to run in the first place, imho.

Very disappointed to see Off the Map being cancelled, I really enjoyed that show. I love medical shows, and with this one being set in a jungle I just thought that was different enough that it might last.

We really liked Detroit 1-8-7, sorry to see it go.

We watched Human Target, liked it better the first season but it had the potential to get better.

Human Target... totally and completely bummed. Hopefully Mark Valley will pop up somewhere right quick. I love that man.

And I was the one person in America who watched the first episode of Lone Star (and liked it). I thought it was a fabulous premise, but apparently nobody else did. It was canceled before I had a chance to watch the second epi, so I figured why bother.

Maybe I should ask this in the other thread, but was there a possibility that America's Next Great Restaurant would be a recurring show? I just kind of figured it was a one-off type thing. I enjoyed it, but it doesn't seem like the kind of thing that would repeated on a regular basis.

Brothers and Sisters!!!!!!!!! I still have hope out for that one. Off the Map, sadly I didn't think it would last when it started. I was the only I knew that had ever even heard of it. I did really enjoy it though.

My DH will be dissapointed that Stargate Universe got cancelled. Personally I did not care for it, although I loved SG1 and Atlantis. I am greatful that Bones will have a season 7 though.

So sad to see Brothers & Sisters and V go.

I hate it when they end a series during a really good point and we'll never know what happens next.

I was sad to see Meduim go...and now reading America's Next Great Restaurant also got axed...I like it...

DH is bummed about V

The only current show I watch is The Office and I do that online on Fridays.

I get four channels, many more in Spanish. I refuse to pay for cable.

With grad school and work and kids and health issues I am just too busy for much TV. :confused3

DH really enjoyed "human target". i'm not looking forward to telling him it's been cancelled.

I'll miss "Human Target" maybe it'll get picked back up.

I'm actually a bit surprised to hear its ending.

We watched Off the Map but the only thing about the show that I think we'll miss about it is Mamie Gummer ("Mina Minard"). Meryl Streep's daughter is fantastically talented. We just saw her
the Good Wife for a few episodes.

It was put out by the people who give us Project Runway and Top Chef, and was supposed to parallel those series.

My DH will be dissapointed that Stargate Universe got cancelled.
The ending was interesting. They did know that they were cancelled when they shot it, so it was a deliberate ending, fwiw.

ith grad school and work and kids and health issues I am just too busy for much TV. :confused3
All the more reason to focus on only the very best available, regardless of how many different channels the good stuff may be spread amongst.

Of course, if money's tight, that's another story. :)

I'll miss "Human Target" maybe it'll get picked back up.
That hardly ever happens. Human Target, especially, unfortunately has almost no chance. It was very expensive to produce, with some action shots and several cast members with pretty steep salary expectations, yet rarely got more than 7 million viewers. By comparison, Bones typically got more than 10 million viewers.

I really miss, Life Unexpected. It was well written and never given much of a chance.
