My poor son also has little artistic ability just like his Mom. The trouble is that his current Language teacher assigns a lot of book reports and requires a visual aid with each one. He and I muddle something together but it's frustrating.

I'd try not to worry about it. However, if HE is worried about it - try checking out "Monart". My oldest took a class and people still rave about the artwork he did in that class. He was in kindergarten (Now a 5th grader) but it is still hanging in frames on the dining room wall. I've thought about taking a class myself.

I don't know if this helped or not, but since my girls were tiny, I had paper and other supplies nearby for them to use. It really came in handy in the car or whenever we had to wait somewhere.

They both are really good artists. And I'm not just saying that because I'm biased.
