anyone have a bad experience with Magical Vacation Homes WH?

Just got back from a condo at Windsor Hills. We booked through Magical Vacation Homes. It was easy to book and check in. The phone was supposed to work and include free calls to Canada. We had a problem with the alarm on our rental van and had to make a phone call. We ended up calling the contact person from MVH on Sunday. She was to send a repair person on Monday. The person did not show up so we used my husbands work cell phone. He just started a new job so this was not what we wanted to do. On Wed we found out that Direct Air suspended flights. We really needed to use the phone. I called again on Wed and told them to call me back and let me know when a repair person would come. They never called back. On Thursday my daughter and I returned from the pool. I was getting changed when a man enterned the condo without knocking. I don't think he saw too much but this is really inappropriate. He said he was in our condo and had to get something from his van. I plan on sending MVH a complaint letter. I don't think they will do anything or really care. I had a better experience with Vacationcentralflorida last year.

My suggestion would be to go directly to the owners instead of through a property management company. Whether you use vrbo, windsorhillsrent, homeaway, or any of the popular rental sites, you can find a wide selection of choices in Windsor Hills. My experience with the property management companies is that a) they aren't as invested as the direct owners are and b) they charge a mark-up you can avoid by going direct.

One of the conditions of renting out is that there is a working phone in the home it should at least make outgoing calls for emergency purposes.We changed our phone supplier in Feb and our outgoing company cut off our incoming calls before they should have done so for 4 days we could only make calls until the new company connected us .
