Anyone had to split an ADR for party size?

Our party of 16 was not able to get a Ohana ADR for December. However, if we split it up into 2 parties of 8, there was availability.

The CM booked one ADR under my name, one under my husband's. I'm worried that the system will cancel one b/c they're too close together.

Anyone had GOOD luck doing this? Or bad?

I think because they are under two different names you should be fine. I split our party up as well and did it online. One set of reservations I used my log in acct the other I used my husbands. We plan on once we are there just asking to make sure the tables are close.

I've had to split an ADR at 'Ohana although when seated they ended up having us at the same table.

I have done this before without any trouble. Our party even split up at two different restaurants at the same time and didn't have any trouble. We just put each ADR under a different name.

We've traveled in a party of 11 a couple of times and we had several splits ADR's but never had been actually split. Just get to the podium a few minutes early.

Le Cellier might be the only exeption to that.

Has anyone done this and had them both under one name? We have Le Cellier for lunch and we are a party of 10 so we made two separate reservations but both under my name...I'm praying that it won't be cancelled.
