Anyone had this happen with the Princesses before?

Went to DLP last week with DD (Lois) age 3 and DS age 7 and hubby.

We queued for about 10 mins so Lois could see her favourite Princess, Cinderella - DD walked onto the stage and Cinderella sat down to see her. Lois curtsied(!) and everything was going fine until Cinderella started to talk to her. Well, Lois wanted her daddy and did not want to speak to Cinderella anymore!

After we had left the stage and asked her why it was because "the lady was not Cinderella because her voice was the same as the lady in Enchanted". (Lois has only seen a trailer of this film). My question is has any other little ones mentioned this before???

Aww poor thing. That would probably have me muttering something like "erm well our voices sound different on TV"!

My (then) 5 year old was totally oblivious when Snow White chatted to her during the parade despite having a very British accent. Think she was too awestruck to notice!

Aren't kids quick on the uptake?

You wouldn't believe the yarns I've spun for my DD on our Disney trips :rolleyes1 - I'm still doing it, and she's 7 now!

One kid in Cafe Mickey when we were there was fine with most of the characters, but burst into tears when Pluto came round saying: "Pluto does not walk on two legs mummy!".... Observant child!!

Mia's kind of figured out about the charaters but is still confused... She thinks there's more than ONE Mickey Mouse since every time we see 'him' he's dressed up in different outfits...

Funny, when we went in April the same girl was Wendy and Alice and Mia said: 'Mummy, why does Alice look familiar to me?' The lies I told her, you won't believe :lmao: :rotfl2:

My daughter, Nicole, is 6 and this year she said that Tweedledum & Tweedledee weren't real beacuse she could see the join in their costume - but that Minnie Mouse is definately real! We found her looking more closely at the characters this time. Both she & her Daddy think the princesses are definately real though! And I think Sulley is real! In fact I love him so much that I bought my husband a Sulley costume off ebay to wear at Hallowe'en! (Nicole already had one)

Hallowe'en is very big here. Everyone dresses up and goes into the city. All the kids loved him in it!

Awwww, fantastic!

Haha what a picture!

I daren't show my hubby this thread. He looks very much a metal-fan, long hair, beard but show him a fluffy suit and he'd jump right in :worried:

That's a fabulous photo of your two Sullies, Karen. :goodvibes

Reminds me of our first trip to DLRP ~ my youngest DD couldn't work out how Mickey and friends could be in both France and America at the same time until she remembered there was a time difference and decided that they must catch up on their sleep on the plane travelling back and forward each night!! :rotfl:
