Anyone had luck waitlisting GF?

I put in a waitlist for a couple nights in March but have little hope it will come through. Anyone had success?

If not, we're completely fine staying at the Boardwalk the full week. We just thought it may be nice to stay at GF since we haven't before.

Not sure my past experience (early in the GFV's "life") is still good...but I decided to add a weekend to a five-day trip I was taking w/friends this past June...I got a 1-BR (for just me a definite splurge, but worth it to me at the time) and W/L'ed a studio (one W/L was for SV and one was for LV)...the SV studio came through...

It was two nights (Fri & Sat, so "high-point" nights) and I did it about 4 months ahead of our trip...the W/L came through about 1 month later...

I wait listed for the Grand, standard view, studio, for Christmas Eve. I put in the request in October, got it a few weeks later. We were down staying with our daughter and just wanted a night in the thick of things for getting to Mass at the Contemporary, magic bands, fast passes, etc.
We arrived early and were upgraded to a one bedroom Lake View! It was magical! It didn't seem crowded at all, but there were quite a few check ins as we were leaving on Christmas Day.
I Loved It! I was underwhelmed when I did a tour earlier, because I love the Bay Lake Towers so much for walking to MK, but now I LOVE the Grand. You just seem so close to everything. I looked out my window to see the Poly and the walkway is so close. Visited both pools and the fitness center. the kitchen is awesome. We had friends over for cocktails after their luau, just a short walk. Ahhhh, such a nice memory!
Obviously, it is easier to get a wait list when it is just one night!

In October I just so happened to look online for 1 Saturday night of the GFV for the end of February and found it available. Grabbed it instantly and cancelled my AKV ressie. Now we have somewhere new to stay precruise.

I was able to get a 2br. lake view for a week Nov of 2013.. and 3 days before NYE in a 2 br. lake view this Dec.

The waitlist came through today for two nights at GF standard view studio! Right at the 34 day.
