Anyone had Disney cancel a VGC reservation yet?

We’ve got a DVC VGC rental via a broker, and understandably the broker has a lot going on right now, so we’ve not had any specific contact regarding our reservation yet.

Unfortunately, as the Disneyland system doesn’t work the same way as WDW, we’re unable to see whether our reservation has already been cancelled by Disney.

We were due to check in at VGC on 20th April... has anyone had their DVC reservation there cancelled by Disney already?

Just trying to get an idea of when we should expect to know it’s been cancelled.

All you can really do is contact your broker. FWIW, I strongly believe VGC & the rest of the Disneyland Resort will remain closed at least through April, and probably well past that. Hope everything works out for you.

Thanks, I’m sure it will get cancelled, I’m just trying to get an idea of how far out they’ve got with cancelling so far...
assuming they’re working through cancellations in check-in date order?

We cancelled ours before Disney. They followed up with the reallocation of points back to their original status within three weeks as promised.

We are booked the second week of June. We have a 2B and 1B reserved for a week for a family trip. Should we wait for Disney to cancel us or do it ourselves?

Do you want to go if they reopen by then? If so then just wait. Otherwise I'd do the cancelling myself and just call or chat with DVC after that if you have any borrowed points that need to go back to the next UY. It's what I did for our April trip. At the moment I've left my June DL reservation in place but will probably go ahead and cancel it pretty soon.

I have DVC reservations at VGC in May, July, and November. May is only 1 night and still shows on my dashboard. I am giving Disney a chance to just cancel it for me. My July one - I am leaving as is for the moment and will decide in June if I am going to keep it or cancel. If I cancel, I am going to ask to have the banked VGC points on that reservation moved to November so I can bank the current year points on the November one.
