Anyone had cabin 6560? Right by the elevators! Noisy?

Has anyone ever stayed in 6560 or another cabin that is practically in the elevator lobby? I am concerned about lots and lots of noise from people going by all the time. I do notice there is a tiny bit of wall before the opening and our door opens on the wall side. Other than that it looks like a great location... right by the midship elevators, convenient to the kids' programming, etc.

Any info would be much appreciated!

P.S. Where can I get one of those cool countdown thingies? :)

We had a cabin right by the elevator lobby on 7th (it was the main lobby up from Lumieres etc.). It was not noisy at all- at least it did not bother us. We loved being able to walk out the door and up 2 flights or down 3 to get where we wanted!

Thanks for the info :)

We are not light sleepers or anything, so it sounds like it will be a wonderful location.

Now if I could just speed up time... <g>

I can't remember my room number at the moment, but our room was right by the elevators and right beneath the hallway that led to Parrot Cay. We were happy to have EARPLUGS with us because it was noisy under the hallway. We did hear small children yelling/screaming/crying while entering the elevators. We have always carried earplugs with us while traveling. We buy the ones found at outdoor stores typically used by people who shoot guns. They are VERY comfortable to wear and you will still hear your alarm clock.

We have been in rooms 6064 and 6552; both are very close to the midship elevators. I really liked this location and did not find noise to be a problem at all. When we get around to booking our 3rd cruise, I will request this location again!

On my April cruise we stayed right near the elevators and heard no noise. We were in room 6118... very quiet!
;)

We were in room 6571 and had no problems other that adolescent kids running wild and being loud in the elevator corridor...I had to call Guest Services one night because it sounded like a herd of cattle was being corraled down the hall...cannot understand why parents do not pay more attention to their kids...anyway on my cruise in 3 weeks I made sure I am AWAY from the elevator
