Anyone had breakfast at Whispering Canyon?

Wife and I staying at WL next month for 15th anniversary. Thought about having breakfast at Whispering Canyon one morning. Anyone tried it? Do you think I need to get reservations or just walk up?

When we stayed there in 2005 we had breakfast at WCC one of the mornings. It was really good. We had the all you can eat breakfast skillet. They had Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, meats, bisquits and gravey. Plus the antics were very low key in the morning. It wasn't as loud, plus I was able to have a conversation with our waitress....I wanted to know where some of the hidden Mickeys were in the lobby, and she was so gracious to give us a very tiny tour. As for the walk up, I guess it would depend on what time of year you are going. We were there at a very low time (second week in Sept.) so we were able to walk right in. If I were you, I would get an ADR just in case...it never hurts to be safe than sorry.

I've walked up a couple of times. I think the antics vary from day to day, my experience was different from the PP. The antics were in full swing both times I was there, and the noise level was extreme.

Food was good enough, but it's not my kind of place. I prefer quieter mealtimes. Lots of people really enjoy it; if you're into an 'interactive' experience (singing, teasing from the waitstaff, stick-pony races, etc.), then you'll probably find it fun. If you want a quiet breakfast, head over to GF Cafe or Kona Cafe.

We had dinner reservations for Whispering Canyon on Dec 6/08. There were no more antics! Our waitress told us they were made to stop because a gentleman was not amused and complained.

My family and friends were disappointed. We didn't enjoy our meal . Our first time, last year was a blast and this a big disappointment. I wrote a letter to Disney saying they should have informed guest. Told them I wouldn't have paid the $$ for that meal had I known. The waitresses said to make a noise and let Disney know. The staff were all disappointed as well. They said thye enjoyed coming to work and having a good time!

Please tell me they are back to their old antics???

When in June did you go? A friend of mine went in June (the week of the 21st) and they were doing all the same things that they normally do...he even was made to get up and sing "I'm a Little Teapot" with other guys.

What happened to the guy that he complained THAT loudly to get them to stop their normal spiel?

We were there Dec. 6/08. I wasn't told what the complaint was. Just told they weren't allowed to do to the antics anymore. My 12 year old son was very disappointed!

They said people need to complain to Disney becasue they do listen...

We ate there October of 2007. My son asked for ketchup and got more than he bargained for. The look on his face was priceless!! Heputs ketchup on everything! The CM was a lillte annyed I think because we were there at the end of breakfast beginning of lunch. I didn't care we were there for it all. We got it all!

Get the all you can eat skillet it is delish

On a recent thread about WCC, another poster elegantly described it: If you are going for the food [quality] and not the antics, you will be disappointed. If you are going for the antics and not the food, you will be fine.

I found the breakfast skillet to be servicable at best and greasy.

There are much better options for food quality a boat / monorail ride away.
