Hi, we are looking to purchase the additional Premium package when we go to DC in August. It is my DD's 9th Birthday and I wanted to get the Sweetheart Package with a cake as an add on. I can only have a cake if I order a package with a Cabana.

That is fine, but I just wondered what the Cabanas are like, what you get in them and where they are situated??

Any help would be appreicated but some pics would be fantastic :)

Thanks x

I did not get a cabana although I considered it. The park was so uncrowded, though I was glad I didn't. They are situated around the park. There were quite a few in the aviary area. They are surrounded by landscaping and fencing, with some covered area and uncovered areas. If you are going to get one, be sure to arrive at 8 am and plan to stay until closing if you want to get some use out of it. The day is pretty full.

for my birthday a couple of years my family purchased the birthday package with the cabana and it was fab. After the dolphin swim was escorted to my private cabana which was right next to the lazy river and was sealed of with a gate. The cabana had inside table, chairs, sun loungers, fridge, birthday cake, bottle of sparkling juice, champagne glasses, chocolates, towels, umberella and also you could see the dolphin swim area which was fab. It was worth the experience and was nice to be away from the hussle and bussle and have some quiet time. We also took lunch and drinks and snacks into the area. At the time we also recieved a glass discovery cove dolphin photos frame which i believe was worth $50 and was a lovely addition. The cake was 6 inches i believe and was covered in buttercream icing with happy birthday on the front and a chocolate dolphin, although i am not a fan of buttercream so found this cake quite rich for myself. There were for chairs and four loungers. I think the cabana was definetly worth it and was a lovely experience. hope this helps

I was interested in finding out about the different options available for a birthday celebration so I emailed DC directly. Funnily enough, the didn't mention that we could add on a cake at all. :confused3

I have decided to just go with the Sweetheart package and not bother with the cabana as I think we won't get too much use out of it.

Well, I called earlier today to find out what my options were for a birthday celebration since the email response I got was pretty generic. Again, there was no mention that I could add a birthday cake with any of the 3 packages I was offered (Standard, Sweetheart & Premium options). :confused3

Eventually I just went with the Sweetheart Package - I'm sure my DD will be thrilled with her birthday surprise. :cloud9:
