I've grown it before, and absolutely love it! Any ornamental you can eat is a bonus (or is it a vegetable with decorative value? I can never decide!).
[/IMG] Unfortunately, bunnies only saw the edible aspect of it, so now I have to wait until I can pick up some prestarted plants from my garden center.
lol cool. I think the bugs might get to it before I do, though! My first seedling emerged yesterday! I was so excited. It's super tiny, but it's red and it pushed it's way through the hard crust of soil that had formed from my watering. I was breaking up chunks of dirt and uncovered 2 more...I quickly covered them up with some loose dirt. I won't get to check on them until tomorrow, but hopefully some more have come up!
I used some store-bought white chard in a recipe the other day and confirmed that I like the taste. LOL that's good huh!
