Anyone gotten the free dining PIN?

Ohhh it would be so nice to get a PIN for my trip in August. I am hoping that they come out with Free Dining, but a PIN would work too. Either way I would be happy!:goodvibes

I got some resort discount pin yesterday. I am a TA so not needing that but free dining would be niiice!!!

I also got this PIN yesterday. It was only good for stays through mid-June, which according to Mousesavers is available to the general public too (and I felt all special-like...).

But - I kinda wanted to go in October for MNSSHP...so much to think about :confused3

We got the same PIN last year. Do you remember when it was sent to you? We were trying to remember when ours came and I don't think it came until July.

We got ours July 22nd. Same situation as jmann, about a week or so after we booked they announced free dining for all! But at least we got our ADR's in before the rush.

Yes, same deal. Not impressed...lol

I want the free dining!!

;)

That's what I want!!! But I'm scared to let my current PIN go to waste in case Disney punishes me :sad2: by not sending another PIN or releasing FD to the general public

So much to think about...

I don't think you have to worry about that...this is the 3rd one they have sent me and as I book Agents rates have never had the need to use one. If they were that organized, they wouldn't be sending them to me still!;)

I've seen a rumour on another board that "something" will be announced March 1. Some speculate that it will be the free dining dates for 2010.:)
Yep..saw that somewhere too. March 1 :rolleyes1 LOL....I'm not supposed to be going even to FL this year never mind WDW. If free dining pops up again....I'm going in September. Don't tell DH.

How does a person get these PIN numbers? My friend and I will be going 3-13th December this year, but free dining! That saves so much money! Do they ever offer it for the first two weeks of December?
Is it the same dates every year or does it change?
I guess I picked the wrong time to go to WDW.

I signed up my e-mail at disney.ca, and asked for vacation planning dvd, and I received a PIN last June for free dining for our trip this past December. You have picked a great time to go in my opinion. The place will be all lit up and decorated for Christmas, and the longest we waited for a ride was 8 minutes. I got dining reservations for character dining no problems the morning of, as I was sick and kept putting off doing it in advance. I even could have had a Cinderella Royal Table one, but my daughter is too much of a tomboy to appreciate that.

I just received a PIN yesterday for discounted resort rates, but we are planning a trip to Tokyo instead, and hoping to go to Tokyo Disneyland.

Thanks evenadlo! I just applied for my Disney planning DVD last week. Is the email signup part of that process or separate from it?
Well I'm glad that I picked a good time and that there is still a possibility of getting discounts.
The only problem is it's going to take SO LONG to get here!

I literally started jumping up and down when I got the PIN in June. It was worth waiting. There are no guarantees about getting a PIN, but I just signed up for everything (the disney e-mails, updates, and as a login for the site) in hopes of getting something. Good luck getting one; it will be a long wait, but hopefully it will pay off.

When in December did you go? I've always wanted to see the Christmas decorations but thought it would be way too busy, but it sounds like it wasn't too bad when you went.

I've been signed up with Disney for 2 years & never received a PIN. Also have 2 vacation DVD's & still never a PIN, not sure how they decide who gets them? We are booked though with free dining for Sept 2010 right now so never really care about PINS, but would like to know why I haven't got one ever?

How did you get free dining without a PIN?

I suspect when you signed up for your DVD's, etc... it asked you to check a box to receive e-mails about promotions, etc... and you said NO.

That only means you won't receive the e-mail, but the PIN is still attached to your profile in their computer system, therefore you did get the PIN.

Maybe....?

We went December 6th to 12th. It was really great! We did use the fast-pass for the most popular rides, but honestly did not have long waits. Our friends went in January, and when she saw our pictures, said that they were definately going back in December. The first two weeks are low season and a great time to go.

Does Disney have your e-mail? Also make sure any e-mails aren't going into the junk mail. Disney had the wrong e-mail for me, when I checked in on our 2008 trip they asked for my e-mail and we discovered that it was missing a number. I have since been getting e-mails with PIN codes. I also have gone onto the website and made customized maps.

DH get the best codes emailed to him even though I am the one that does all the disney dealings and its my name and email that has ordered the DVDs, paid for vacations etc. Then I figured out that we made the customized maps and had them sent to DH's sister in Michigan in his name. So in the disney system it appears that he is american and seems to get all the PINs offered. I've never gotten a PIN sent to me.....the one that actually does all the work:confused3

We booked the bounceback offer while we were there in Sept 2009 for free dining Sept 2010. Nothing to do with a PIN.

They have my email, I checked off they could even send me stuff snail mail as well as email. My junk folder is empty & I check it because it tells me when something's been sent there.

I have no idea why I've never received a PIN?
