Has anyone been to the outlets - either Prime or Belz?

Just wondering how far they are, and if there are methods of transportation.

My husband has a sales meeting on a day while we are there - I'm debating if I should bring the kids with me on a shopping trip.

I will try to help. The Prime or premier not sure what they are called are very close. If you come out the on I drive where the McDonalds is and the Goodings shopping center, you would turn right at the light and go under the overpass and it is at the next light.I cannot remember the road.I know it but cant think of it right now.It would only take about 10 minutes or so to get there depending on where you will be staying.

You could probably get a taxi reasonable.

Belz is nice, tons of stores - actually several "strip' malls - a bit of a drive from Disney though. They also have a newer mall over there called Mall of Millenia (or something like that), kind of has an upper class feel to it.

Premier Outlets is wonderful. That was our favorite outlet place. Lots of great stores - you can get some good deals here. Also has a nice outdoor village feel to it.

Both places have a Disney and Universal outlet store - so you could do some serious souvie shopping! Always fun. :goodvibes

We're staying at CBR. I have a 4 yr old and a 17 mth old.

We don't have a car.... I wonder what it would cost to cab it there and back... or maybe I should rent a car for the day?

Any suggestions?

Premier Outlets is very close to Downtown Disney. We try to go on every trip. Right behind it is the Publix grocery store, so we try to make it into a grocery run as well. Lots of great stores including the Disney outlet.

Would love to go - just called Star taxi service - told me about $25 each way from CBR.... So it would cost me about $75 Canadian (with tip) to go shopping ....

bummer bummer bummer

are located on Vineland Road.....If you take a cab, try to take it from Downtown Disney (since that is closest to the outlets, you will pay less). I think I only paid $20. The ride is only about 10 minutes.

I would rent a car for the day to go to both...would be cheaper to do that than a taxi and you might feel more comfortable. It can take a whole day b/w the two places (and feeding small kids and riding the carousel, etc).

Yes, I think that a car can't cost me more than $50 for the day - so it'd probably be worth it to rent one rather than take a cab.

I just have to decide what it is I really want to do for that day - 2 little kids and no hubby :-) I'm a spoiled girl - he really helps out with everything.

I can't remember which one we went to.. the one with the more "upscale" outlet stores.. Versace, Burberry and the like. It was a nice day trip. We took a cab from DTD and it cost us about $12, each way.

We didn't end up purchasing that much, but I got a fantastic deal on the watch I am wearing now (not that you can see it) but it originally went for $110 and I got it for $20!! The Sunglass Hut there is great, too.. and I owe those folks a million for fixing my sunglasses that lost a screw (I'd purchased them at a SH here at home and they didn't bat an eye about fixing them). They actually spent about a half hour finding the right fixing, but they did it. Great folks there!
