Hey Everyone

I am asking yet another question:goodvibes Have any of you taken a resort tour? Not an official but stopped by to look at several resorts either by Monorail or by Disney Bus? I'm staying off-site but DF and I would like look at some of the resorts that we want to choose for our resort and for our room blocks. Would we have to pay parking at each resort if we drove? Could we just take Disney transportation even though we aren't staying on-site?

Any suggestions? Any experience with this?

If you drive to the resorts, tell them you are eating there or just want to check out the resort. I've never been charged to park at them. You could also park at DTD and take the Disney buses to the resorts you like to see.

My mom and I checked out the resorts during my planning session. We even asked if we could view the rooms, and they gave us a mini tour.

I'd definitely drive - the buses don't go directly between resorts, so you'll have to keep changing at the parks.

We did this with our rental car, and it was a lot of fun! The "we're just having lunch/looking around" line worked for us, too. I wish I'd thought to ask for room tours though!

I didnt know they would give room tours! Interesting info :thumbsup2:

I love checking out the different resorts!

When we went for our planning session, we got tours of Coronado Springs and the GF!!! I had to convince DF that the $400 per night was worth it - I'm not sure he was convinced, but I won!!

It took a bit of waiting at the CS to get the tour - but if you're willing to wait they'll do it.

In addition to that trip, my aunt is a famous resort hopper. She loves to just go look around at everything. They don't charge to park at the resorts, so no concerns there. Just tell them what you're doing and they'll be happy to let you look around!

we looked around at our planning sessions as well, didnt know you could ahve a room tour, wish i did though.

We looked at coronado, POFQ and the broadwalk resorts. I love exiting international gateway and walking round the lake so relaxing

Most Definitly Drive To Moderates And Allstars, And Some Deluxes, Just Tell Them You Want To Check Out Hotel,
You Can Park At Gran Floridian And Take The Monorail To Contempory And Polynesian So Then You Get To See 3 With Out Driving Between!
Fr The Boardwalk Take The Boat Or Walk Over To Yacht And Beach Club! 3 More Down!
You Can Take A Boat Fr Dtd To Port Orleans French Quarter And Riverside. Free Parking At Dtd!
I Agree Don't Deal With The Busses They Are More A Headache. All The Boats Are Free!!!

This is great info! Thanks guys! Last time we went to Disney DF and I came home exhausted so I think a day of leisurely checking out resorts will be good for us! I really want to finalize my decision of either Boardwalk or Polynesion so those two are for us and then either All Star Music or Pop Century and check out a few Moderates for our room blocks.

Thanks guys! I really didn't want to bus it around, it would have taken forever!:rotfl:
