I know Corey and Julie have been on a Celebrity cruise but has anyone else on the podcast or the boards gone on a Celeb cruise?

I'm going in two weeks on the Celebrity Millennium, a 5 night western caribbean cruise (April 16-21). Its a cruise that my partner Michael earned through The Pampered Chef.

Anyone been on the Mellennium?

This is our first cruise, my first time being out of the country.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I haven't been on a Celebrity Cruise, but have been on several Royal Caribbean ships (sister company) and have liked them all.

I hope you have an amazing time and thoroughly enjoy your first cruise experience.

Have fun!

Thanks Kevin! My goal/hope after this cruise is that we will both enjoy cruising so much that we go on a Disney Cruise next!

Haven't been on the Millenium [or any X ship] since 2004. We had a nice time. Memory of it has gotten fuzzy over time. Only complaint was the lack of washers [it was 14-day cruise].

I have only cruised once on Celebrity, but we loved it! The food was a step up & it had a more of an adult atmosphere than others we have taken (which is why we haven't been back- all of our cruising since then has been with our sons, so it's been DCL & RCCL for us!). You will love it, have a wonderful time- I'm definitely looking forward to sailing Celebrity again one day! :goodvibes

I was on the Millennium a few years ago. It was a gorgeous ship and I remember the desserts were amazing.

I also remember how good looking the staff was. :goodvibes

I was on the Celebrity Equinox last July for a 10 night Eastern Med. It was a beautiful ship and you will want for nothing on Celebrity. The ice cream bar is awesome and flavors changed daily. Waffles were hot and fresh - get them where they have the ice cream, not the ones sitting on the hot plate. The kids club....well it sucked. My DS7 and Nephew7 hated it. They loved the Wonder's club and thought the Celebrity one was geared more towards 4 and 5 year olds. It was fine becuase they just swam instead.

I've only ever cruised Celebrity. I haven't been on that particular ship, but I've always had a great time. The food and service are top notch and there are plenty of activities on sea days. I'm sure you'll have a fantastic trip!

I have sailed on many of the Celebrity ships. Try to Bistro on Five for sweet and savory crepes. Just a $5 per person charge and they have a great variety of crepes and they are made fresh.
Also, if you like a martini, try the Martini bar and watch the bartenders pour 7 martinis at the smae time!

Ok so I just listened to the podcast from a few years ago after Corey and Julie got back from their cruise in Europe onboard the Millenium. It sounds like the dress code is a little stuffy. I don't own a suit and don't know if I want to get all dressed up in the warm Gulf of Mexico. Has Celebrity changed their dress codes since then?

The dress is "smart casual" except on formal nights. If you don't want to dress up on formal night, eat in a specialty restaurant or the buffet.

Thanks Nancy, do you think I'll be ok with khaki pants and a polo shirt as "smart casual"? I guess we could also order room service on formal night and chill out on our balcony.
