Does nay one knoe if these plates would take autographs using sharpies or other perm markers? I was thinking of getting one signed on our next DCL cruise for my Mom as a souvie.

It might take a sharpie. It's a standard melamine plate. You could probably test is out on the back of a plate to see if it would work.
