Hubby and I will be there!

We almost panicked last night when we looked at the tickets and realized that the show starts at 5:00. I called this morning to check times and found out that there are 2 local bands performing from 5:00-6:10, which normally I love to hear the locals because there is really some talent out there and you just never know when you might get a sneak peek at the next great band. But there's no way I can get to Gillette by 5:00 unless I were to take the day off - and since I'm already at work...

So...the rest of the schedule is:

Nickelback - 6:30 pm
Bon Jovi - 8:00 pm

I can't wait...but man, am I going to be tired tomorrow.

Oh, and in case you don't know - parking at the stadium is $35, which I think is a total ripoff, but since they own all the parking lots in that area and you can't park on the street, they've pretty much got you.

We saw them last week (7/19) at Giants Stadium, the show was great but I wouldn't have gone in at 5pm like we ended up doing. Bon Jovi came on at 8pm and I really didn't care to sweat out there for 3 hours to see some local band and Nickleback. Parking at Giants Stadium is $15, seems like a bargain now.

$35 for parking that will take 2 hours to get out of the parking lot! When I saw the Stones at Gillette we got back to NH about 2:30am. Good Luck tomorrow morning!!

I do live about 15 minutes from Gillette in regular traffic, but I know that it will take at least an hour for us to get home after the show. I can't even imagine if we lived up in NH. My husband and I joked about getting a room at the End Zone and walking, when we first got the tickets, but we actually forgot about that idea. We'd probably pay about the same to stay there as we'll pay in parking and gas while idling in traffic.

 $35!

I really wanted to go with my Mom. She's a HUGE BJ fan, but when we found out it was at Gillette, we said no way. The drive back to NH would be murder.

Have a fabulous time! :dance3:

I am saving my energy for the Goo Goo Dolls Saturday and Tuesday... :yay:

That's exactly why I didn't get tix, just too far a drive on a weeknight. BJ are incredible live, I'm bummed out I can't see him, eh, I mean them.

yeah, mom is bummed she can't see him, I mean, them, too! ;) We also didn't like the being-out-in-the-open-and-what-if-it-rains thing.

I have seen them many times since the 80s and they always put on a great show!

I'm jealous! I saw them back in Feb and really debated about catching a summer show. I've shied away from the stadium shows because those places are just so huge. I'm afraid I'd end up SO far away. However, I hear that there is nothing better than a BJ stadium show. Maybe someday.

I am getting so sick of parking fees and....$35?? Are they insane? And don't you love when you pay that and then see the signs that say, for example: "Arena is not responsible for x, y, and z?" I always think, well what the h*** did I just pay $35 for?? A piece of blacktop? Grrr.

I hope you have a fantastic time!

Yesterday was my birthday, so this was my gift to myself. We don't go to many shows, and usually only if I win tickets on the radio - so this is a treat for us. We have nosebleed seats, but I saw Bruce Springsteen at Gillette and it was so awesome that I imagine Bon Jovi will be just as good - if not better.

I'm jealous :bitelip: I wish i was going! :teeth:

Have a great time :thumbsup2

Also

Happy Birthday! :bday: :cake: party: :bday:

Thank you. I'll have to remember to post a review tomorrow.

It was an AWESOME show- they played for almost 3 hours straight! I saw them on the 19th at Giants Stadium.

Got home at 1:30am....
