We returned from our trip in May and I am already thinking about our next trip. We really enjoyed May and I am wondering if anyone knows when the 2009 rates are available?????

We just returned from our trip in May. Thinking about a plan for next year. We always do May, and think it will work one more year. We WILL get off Disney property and go to seaworld this time. That is our number 1 goal.

We went in May 07 and Dec 07 so we decided to skip this year. We are having some serious WDW withdrawals right now. :faint: Anyway, we are are planning on going in May 09 for 11 days and we can't wait.

The rates will most likely be out after August/ September as that's usually about the time the rate changes happen. We usually book in October.

I am shooting for a May 2009 trip. I haven't been since 2000 and really need a Disney fix. We always say we are going to go, but this time I am going to make it happen. Not sure on the dates yet. Waiting for the rates to come in and then I can see what I have to spend. I just can't wait. Sometimes just being on these boards helps. Well not like being there. Planning stages are fun as well. I told my DS 10 that we need to save up and when we get enough we will go. When I do book it I am going to try my hardest not to tell him. I don't think I will make it. :rolleyes1

Glad that there are others already looking ahead! We are thinking May 1-7. Resort will be either POP or ASMU. This trip will be different though, much less time in the parks! Sounds strange I know. But we've gone every year since 1997, and some years we went 2x. So we are looking for "other" things to do.Seaworld is #1 on the list. So if anybody has other great ideas to make this trip different...bring it on! We are me 36, DH 37, DS 10, DS 8. Not into the water parks, but they like to swim. 6nts/7days on property W/DME, and dining plan. Sorry this is so long:rotfl2:

We're planning a May 09 trip too.

POR for 17 nights (although if I have my way it'll be 14 nights plus a 3 night Disney cruise).

I love the May weather - hot but without the humidity. The crowd levels are great in May too.

Sea World is a must for us, as are the Universal parks, the malls and just about everything else in the area.

We need a vacation to relax once we get home.

I can't wait!

Hello there everyone! I am hoping for May 2009, as well. I am thinking either the first or second week. We did that in 2006, and it was great. Weather was perfect! Crowds were managable.

We are looking at first week in May. Probably try out ASMU this time. Its gotten lots of good reviews lately. I sure wish they would refurb the rooms at ASMovies! Wondering if there will be changes to the Dining plan? :confused3

We are planning to go in May2009 for DD 5th bday. We will be there memorial day weekend. Does anyone know how the crowds are during that time?

We are going May 10 - 16 choosing between CBR or POP.... 3rd year... i LOVE may in WDW.... very nice weather ok crowds.....

Me, too - planning first ever family WDW trip in May, 2009. I'm trying to decide on staying at POP or CBR or Old Key. Our kids will be 6 and 4 at that time and we're planning on staying 7 days. I thought about posting a Thread with a Poll on it to find get input on where to stay. I'm REALLY bad about making decisions so I can't believe I'm planning this by myself. My DH is not into vacations or Disney so I'll be doing all the reservations, hotel and flight bookings, etc. I've been addicted to this board for a few weeks now trying to take it all in! It's awesome!

We are now looking at May 09. Flower and Garden Festival here I come. Not sure where we are staying yet. The kids are dying to go to US also so we will spend a few days over there also.

i WANT to go May 2009...but DH doesnt know that yet. we havent even left for our sept. trip and I am already planning! mmmwwaahhahahaha!

my mom and dad want to go to so that could be fun. we want to split stay between SSR and Poly, to try out DVC, we want to buy in a few years!

I am thinking the first week in May would be a perfect time to visit WDW. I have been stressing about the "when" for a few weeks now. I was planning for January, but then decided that I didn't want to chance the weather.... I would like to swim and be somewhat warm on our trip. From what I read on these boards, May is good weather and decent crowd level ??? Having fun in the planning stage right now!!!:yay:

DH and I went in May in 2004, and the weather was warm, but not humid. The crowds were doable, and I don't really remember waiting long to get on any ride we wanted to go on. It was a wonderful trip, and I am sold on May in Orlando!

I don't think I can wait that long  I guess I will be planning up a storm in order to pass the time. Historically, is May a time when disney give codes/discounts??? If so, when do they come out?

Well, we couldn't wait until May 09 so we just booked a Dec 08 trip. :rolleyes1 Anyway, we are still planning an 09 trip in October. :thumbsup2

We went this May and we are heading back in May 09. We'll be at POP May 29th - June 4th. :cool1:

Can't wait for the release of the 2009 prices.

I think it all depends on your budget :) If money were no object, I would love to stay at the Beach Club! BUT, I could be just as happy staying at Port Orleans Riverside, or POP for that matter! We stayed at AKL last trip, and to me, as beautiful a resort as it is, it wasn't worth the money.
