My DD10 and I will be at AKV for her b day....Mar 1,2 and 3..I love this weekend....she has that Fri and Mon off school..makes for a nice little getaway...except for the weekend pts!! lol..We arrive on Leap year Friday

Hi Pat
A couple of my friends will be in Florida for 2 weeks so I'm hoping to head down for a couple of days before my AP expires. Will probably be at my DB's on the west coast from Feb. 28-Mar. 2, then head to WDW. Looked into DVC, but it's out of my point/price range so will probably be at a value or off-property.

March looks like the month I will be going down, but have not firmed up a set of dates yet. A lot depends on my work schedule. Hope I can get a room at BW! May try to coincide it with the Gatornationals in Gainesville.

So how did you like AKV????

loved it!!! best dvc resort yet - my opinion!

even had one of the worst views - roof - swimming pool. but it was quiet and very, very relaxing. just off the lodge. so when I wanted action it was just a few feet away.

just a few feet down from the laundry - which some members didn't know existed. Which I guess added to my quiet.

the only thing I didn't like - is no ice machines on the DVC floor. Asked the maids and maintence people. You have to walk down to the 4th floor to get ice. Since I stay in studio - did not appreciate that.

I may be there for the first week of March... if the plan goes through, I am going to be there for spring training, not Disney per se... But, I will be at the Disney parks for sure....

Hey, Pat! Would love to do a solo (first time!) in March, but the 'ole AP expires March 1!!

Do not think I'll renew because it's looking Disney trips will be few and far between next year.

If I do happen to renew, would probably stay at POP, unless I'd be lucky enough to find AKLV points to rent!

Will keep an eye on this thread.

Just found about a music festival in southern Florida on Mar 6 through 9, am thinking of maybe coinciding a trip to DW during that period. It is called Langderado, and will have a lot of bands that I like performing.

New on the board but am making my 6th trip in 7 years to Disney and it's solo. Will be staying on-site Feb. 28-March 5 at CBR, but off-site a few days prior to that in Orlando and will make a few visits then as well. That will bring my tally to 54 nights in "The World" after completion. Can't wait. Never been to any of the formal or informal get togethers (meets) everyone talks about. Any scheduled?
