Just checking in to see how the cruise planning was coming along.....

Ours is going fine. Yours?

We got our Palo reservations, banana boat times, and special wines and Ports arranged! :lmao:

Not much else to do.

Did we mention that Lisa is bring a friend with her?

Funny how all us nurses will be there...Ive worked med-surg, ER, Internal Medicine,Sleep Apnea and Respiratory, and now Family Practice..I was a camp nurse one summer also..that was a lot of fun.
Maybe we all can have a nurse spa appt together...lol. I know I will go to the spa at least twice, I just love being pampered.
How old are your kids? My daughters are ages 10 and 11.

Hi Everyone!!

Well I've decided we're going to do the Dolphin Swim. Thru the excursions offered by Disney, they only have the Dolphin experience, where you stand in 4 feet of water and meet and play with them; I went direct to the company and they also offer Swims with them where you get half an hour in the water to swim with them and they lift you up and push you out of the water!

They have a photo guy video it all and take pics which they naturally sell there.

Anyhow, I thought it would be a once in a lifetime thing to do. :sunny: :Pinkbounc

Still mulling over restaurants and stuff and scheduling, but :moped: I got a passporter and am looking over their touring plans and stuff.

I need to find Disney's plans for the week before when we'll be at WDW so I can plan around the extra hours stuff. :cloud9:

Really excited about this trip!

Sent invites out this week for my boy's 10th birthday party, Pirates of the Caribbean, end of this month. Should be fun!

As far as Nursing...I just finished Leadership rotation and moving into Critical Care next week. Only 7 more weeks to go! :cheer2:

:)

Hope you're feeling better, swoos~

Everyone, I just got an email which I have not confirmed but it says the gov't has pushed back the passport requirements another year or two! FYI!

Clearblueeyes - Good catch with the dolphin swim - you'll have fun...

There are several Christmas events while you are in WDW - EPCOT hosts the storytellers - each county has its version of Santa Claus, Father Christmas, Monkey King etc - and if you time it correctly you can hear each one. They also have a picture spot for pictures with kids (of all ages).....and one of my favourite traditions is the Candlelight Procession at night.

And if you would like a free event - tour all the hotels to see the different themes Christmas trees and huge gingerbread displays. The Grand Floridain has carolers performing some nights....And Magic Kingdom and Epcot have extra special fireworks......

:wizard: Thank you Scuba and Chip, I will print out those calendars from the link and those will be very helpful. :surfweb:

I've done Christmas at Disneyland and I love the snow and the decorations, I am sure I will love DW too. The santas in all the countries sounds great, I didn't even think about that going on~ :grouphug:

I appreciate your help!

Did you do the dolphin thing, Chip? Was it great?

Has anyone done the parasailing? That sounds like fun too. :woohoo:

CBE princess:

And I forgot Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at the Kingdom (check the dates to see if it will be running when you are there) and the Osborn Lights at MGM....and the special parade at Animal Kingdom.....

...and I have printed out some of the descriptions so I can start making my touring plans. :sunny:

Thanks very much for your help! :goodvibes

I did this on our Double Scoop in May. It was great....but made great by how close I was to CC. When kids did it they were way out in the ocean and only got to look at ocean. I was basically pulled right over the ship which made it very memorable.

That is one of those things you just can't plan. If you ever thought about doing it, go ahead. Why not, but CC is a really good island to just chill out which is what we will be doing.

Hi scubadiver,

I hear what you're saying about just taking it easy on CC. :sunny: I have all of this information and my mind is spinning  with all the stuff to do and I could just plan every second but I know that would be a flippin' nightmare if I did! :lmao: :sad2:

I am really committed to the dolphin swim, I'll be completing that booking this weekend~when I described the parasailing to my nearly 10 year old, he told me he was definitely NOT going to do that.... :rotfl: but he WANTS to do the dolphin thing. :sunny: :thumbsup2

I think just walking around and hanging out at the beach is fun too so I am thinking about just doing that.

:wizard: Unless I can convince my kid to do the parasailing..... :teeth:

Welcome Aboard! Is this your first cruise - if so - you are in for a special treat. If not, welcome back, you know how "wonderful" Disney is....

We are repeat cruisers - and are looking forward to this Christmas celebration as well.

Thanks for the welcome!

We, too, are repeat cruisers. This will be our 5th with DCL - we have cruised three times before on the Wonder (4 days) and once on the Magic (7 days). We are really looking forward to experiencing the Disney difference at Christmastime with the ship decorated for the season.

This is our 4th - only on our May cruise were we crusing without some decorations....I will be glad to see them if full form.
