Ok.... I am going next weekend and my parents are going dressed as Pirates and my dad is so scared that he will be the only man dressed up.. But I reassured him that so many Disney guests go dressed up... So my question is
If any of you fellow Disser's went already THIS YEAR were any adults dressed up...lol... I need to let him see this thread... lol
thanks

The past 2 MNSSHP we did dressed up... but not this past Sept. 29th.. But tell your dad not to worry... Last Friday when we went there were so many Pirates and Tinks.. young and old alike... Most be the no.1 theme right now be a pirate:

YES< we dressed up our 1st MNSSHP 9 years ago , and Now we are THAT much Older lol....and dressing up again...OK we are 30 +33...YES We are adults and dressing up..its DISNEY for petes sake :lmao: he wont excatly be out of place....

I was at the party last night, 10/12. Many, many adults dressed up. I saw over 25 pirates of all ages. I was on the bus with an adult group where the husband and wife came as bacon and egg. It was so cute. My sister and I went as sports fans. She was a METS fan and I was a NASCAR fan.
There were lots of adults pirates and wenches. The party was very crowded, but fun. The fireworks were amazing.
Have Fun...
Michele

Half way here with a shirt and hat.

pirate: Last year, we all dressed as pirates. A lot of adults dress in costumes. This year, my DS is dressing as Zorro, and I'm dressing as a magician. DW doesn't want to dress in a costume this year. :sad2: Hopefully she'll change her mind in eight days! :goodvibes

My husband was also afraid we would be the only adults in costumes until we got on the Magic Kingdom bus. There were people were dressed all around us. Go and have a blast! :wizard: pirate: :cheer2: :bride: :joker:

I was at MNSSHP on Sept. 15th, there were quite a few people dressed up. It was a pretty warm night and one man in particular had a fleece Tigger costume on, I felt so bad for him, he looked so hot! I guess the moral of the story is remember to plan your costume according to the weather!! pirate:

when we went on the 29th there were so many adults dressed up, at one point it looked like there were more adults than children. we even rode the bus with jack and sally from nightmare before christmas :)

Hi! It's been a long time since I posted anything.Been kinda depressed since returning from WDW last May :sad2: Anyway, we have decided to make another trip to see the mouse next Halloween  and I have been reading all I can about the mhsshp. We were wondering if a lot of adults dressed up and do they have to dress up in Disney themed costumes

I am an adult (usually) and I'm dressing up as Oogie Boogie for MNSSHP on the 31st! My sons are going as Jack Skellington and the Mayor.
Hehe! Can't wait.

At the Sept 29th party there were tons of adults dressed up (including us)! Tell your dad not to worry - just go have fun!!

We were at MNSSHP on 10/2. Many adults were in some type of costume. There was a whole family of hippies that got on the bus with us at BCV, big hair, tye dye, peace signs....you get the idea. So no, not everyone is in Disney costumes.

We attended our third MNSSHP this year and we have dressed every year. Here are our costumes from this year:

Thanks, Pam. We have a whole year to think of the perfect costume!

Grown DS and I went dressed up. We saw a family of 7 Adult dalmations, and many many other adults dressed up. Jack and Sally were there. Lots of malicifients. Saw a big hairy Dad in a princess gown pushing a stroller - kinda unattractive, and saw a very pregnant Wendy - alittle out of my comfort zone, Tinkerbell, Jack, Hook, and non-characters as well. They will not look silly at all.

They will have the true holiday spirit ! pirate: pirate:

WOW! I saw you! You were in line behind me getting MNSSHP pins! You all looked awesome! I remember you had two children resting comfortabley in their strollers. Again...great costumes!

When we went last year, I could not believe how many people were dressed up! I felt left out b/c I did not! I know that we will dress for sure next year!

My DH was contemplating (sp?) it but decided not to. Me OTH, am dressing up for MNSSHP on the 31st! I'll be wearing my medieval wench/barmaid costume left over from my convention days. Halloween is the only time I get to wear this anymore. This is not the type of costume bought at a halloween store more like at a sci-fi/fantasy convention.

12 hours left till DISNEY!!!!! :rotfl: :woohoo: :yay: :bounce: :dance3: :cool1: Ok so I went a little overboard on the smilies :teeth:
