Anyone go parasailing at the Contemporary?

My DH would love to go parasailing and I think I may be able to afford the extra expense but I can't really find any info about it. Anyone do this? How was it?

Yes, we went parasailing several years ago and it was AMAZING!! The view is simply breathtaking from that altitude and you're able to see just how huge WDW is. I would highly recommend doing this!

DH did it in 2004 and LOVED it. He is normal afraid of heights but he said it was one of the best things he ever did. DS wants to do it now too. We didn't make ressies until we were there, I think a day or so in advance and it was no problem to fly the next day. I say go for it. Your DH will love it.

Two people can go together. My oldest ds and I went in 2006 and it was really fun. I would do it again.

That sounds wonderful. I've been parasailing before not at Disney but in the Bahamas and it was great fun. I bet DS9 would love it. I'll have to check this out. Thanks for the info.

As a PP mentioned yes, they offer tandem parasailing, but the combined weight must not exceed 330 lbs.

If you get the Platinum Package, don't you get to go parasailing for no charge if you have that plan? Am I wrong? Or what's the deal?

Hmmmm.....if the platinum package does offer this, I may go for it. After all, I'm already doing deluxe dining and I'm getting Cirque tickets.

I thought that the Cirque tickets were only applicable on Platinum and Premium??

We had the premium package in December and parasailing was included. We did the tandem and it was great. It was better than doing it alone because we had someone to ooh and aah with.

Yes, if it rains you can reschedule. Our oldest son and his girlfriend were scheduled to go on our trip in 2004 (we were staying at the Polynesian...so you don't have to be staying at the Contemporary to do it). Although no rain, there was lightening in the area. They were offered another time slot the next day or later in the trip. The only thing is you have to reschedule around those who already have reservations.
