Aloha! We are anxious for ANY reports from recent visitors...How is everything looking? Is landscaping in place (to figure our 'views')? Mostly, does anyone have info on the balconies in comparison to others at DVC?...in preview shots, some look TINY...and we so love to sit out...

Thanks neighbors!:)

I will be at WDW in 5 days, I plan to TRY and snoop, I understand it is really hard to do during the construction phase though so I don't know how much snooping I will be able to do. I will let you know when I get back.

We were at WDW 4/8-4/12 and had to go look at our new home, BCV. I took several pictures but don't know how to post them online. Haven't did any landscaping yet other than trees that were already there. They are working on the pool and pool house and the breezeway, which is a covered walkway between BC and BCV. Not all units have full size balconies. Some just have the small balconies like the BC. Looks like the second floor has the largest balconies at least on the side facing BC entrance.

We will be there in a week and I hope to get a look at it. I'll post back when we return.

We walked over to the BC/YC while we were there over Easter. The entrance to the BCV is right near the store in the BC. It was still boarded up and the CMs in the store were looking forward to it opening up.

I plan on taking a bunch of photos on our upcoming trip... we are staying at the BCV's sister resort... the BC!:Pinkbounc

The store was expanded already and fully stocked.

We were there just this past Sunday. We toured the models--absolutely beautiful, the prettiest DVC yet, in my opinion. We drove around and pulled into the Beach Club parking lot to see what we could see, to see what we could see, and I was startled at just how close the BCV actually come to the BC Resort. If you were staying in the building that is closest to the BC Resort parking lot, it is just a 1-2 minute walk to get in to the BC Resort. There is still too much construction fencing to let you get close enough to see the pool area. The exteriors looked mostly finished to me, landscaping not completed at this time.

I always knew I would want to own any DVC in this area of Disney World, but the BCV far surpasses anything I could have imagined. I cannot wait for my first stay.

As a 50-something female, it is a long hike to go in a swimsuit.

Seriously, I think it is a bit of a hike from almost any point of Yacht and Beach area. I don't know if I would consider the hike there for just a quick dip, but maybe for a couple of hours or so. Also keep in mind that I am not a huge fan of walking, either. I am sure there are others that will consider it "just across the way".

Thanks for the quick reply. I was considering switching my ressie at BWV to BCV. My kids love to swim but take frequent trips back to the room. I don't think I want to be walking back and forth to stormalong bay that frequently if it's a long walk. I think will keep the ressie's at BWV this year and consider BCV next year.

Fortunately, we BCV owners should be all set with 24hr access to a quick dip right in front of the Villas with the new quiet pool. I hope it also has a hot tub and a couple of nice pool features to help make it special, maybe a waterfall or bridge or something.

Good point about the walk to Storm Along Bay. Maybe the early closing time will be extended a bit with the BCV addition, or they will add a second access point through the gate at a point a little closer on the BCV trail. I'm hoping that you could walk through the BC at an access point before you reach the lobby area, (I think there is a cooridor that was intended for this, the drawings show an external walkway leading to a non-lobby BC entrance) walk through the hall towards the beach (the one that is behind the store on the Epcot side), head out the door in that hallway and walk along the beach side of the resort until you hit SAB without having to traverse the lobby and CAFE MAY area. This is of course if my memory serves me from the one visit. It would make sense for them to create a usable traffic pattern that didn't add unneeded traffic to the lobbies for pool access, and I think there is a pretty good one. After all, Disney planners are experts at this.

Thanks for the update, info re: BCV and the progress is appreciated.

The quiet pool will have a hot tub - the literature says it will have a capacity of 17!! I don't know of any slides or other cool features at the quiet pool - they are not mentioned.

Just returned last night from WDW. We stayed at AKL, but spent quite a bit of time at BC. They are working on the inside late at night. They were working on the walkway from the BC to the BCV, it is actually closer down the hall then I thought it would be. It looked as if it would be at the end of the one hallway that heads to the store, but it looks as if it will be just before the store entrance (store entrace is on right, BCV walkway to the left), just passed the area at BC for the Disney cruise line (I think that is what is at that desk) They haven't even opened up or created a door at that point yet, it is completely blocked with pictures so you can't see through the windows, but if you go down the hall a bit and then look back, you can see it. I was imagining a walkway with just a covering (top). This is actually completely enclosed with windows (still had the stickers on the windows) and everything. I actually stopped a CM and asked what it was since it was enclosed and I couldn't tell that it was completely attached to the BCV yet, and he told me that it was going to be walkway.

I was not able to snoop around too much because of the construction fences and there was a lot of construction crew. But I can tell you that I did take a good look at the balconly sizes. As far as the width goes they are not as small as the standing room only ones at BC which are the size of one door width which I think is about 4 feet. There are several sizes, but the smallest ones are the size of 2 door widths (one set of sliding glass doors) which I think is about 8 feet or so. I went over to boardwalk that same day and took a look and would say they are the same size as boardwalks. Both have some bigger ones and some that are the size I described above of 2 door widths.

I did look at the models also and they look even better in person. There was someone worried about counter space in the master bedroom bath. There is the sink area and a small amount of conunter space on either side but there is also a small drawer and 2 small shelves on both sides of the sink.

As far as drawer space there is a entertainment center in the studio, living room and master bedroom that all have either 2 large drawers or 4 small drawers. There is also a chest in the master bedroom that has a large drawer in it.

One warning, watch out for the 5-6 foot alligator that is living in the canel in the front of BC/BCV. (My mom has pictures).

Thanks Terry S for keeping everyone updated on the BCV. I cannot wait until July when it opens and we can really see everything there.
