Anyone get their free Disney planning video yet?

I got my dvd today, but haven't watched it yet. I hope to watch it later tonight. Happy Thanksgiving!

DD23 got hers at college and we watched it last night. We're going in January to celebrate her finishing her undergraduate college career. I have to say I preferred the last planning video. I loved the "bench" guy. Lots of footage borrowed from earlier editions. We didn't watch the California segments, so I'll do that when my own copy arrives. DD is excellent at noticing footage from earlier editions, even to the detail of balloons that are no longer sold at WDW!

My customized maps and DVD arrived on the same day. Did get to peek at each of them when I should be cleaning for Thanksgiving! Anyway, like dgaston, (and I also said this on another thread), I really liked last years almost better. This one seemed rather disjointed and hard to follow. I guess the children's section appealed to me the most since the adults portion (golfing, clubs, etc...) isn't really my bag --

Anyone else feel that way? Not that I didn't enjoy this one too but ...

We just watch the new planning video. We loved it. I really thought they did a great job with featuring the YOAMD. We leave in just 10 days and after watching the video, I'm even more anxious than ever. It seems to me like it really didn't take that long for us to get the video either. It must be maybe about 3 weeks and I didn't get an e-mail telling me it was on it's way, so I was very surprised when I opened the mail box and there it was.

OT, still waiting on my customized maps as well, despite an email over 2 weeks ago telling me that they had been shippped out the day before. I think they got lost Never the less, waiting not so patiently for BOTH to arrive and beginning to bust at the seems!

Totally agree. I've only watched the main part and I don't like it at all. Even though the hosts on last year's were a little over the top and cheesy, at least it actually showed you a lot of the parks. This one is like watching a video on MTV. The whole thing is a montage of 2 second shots of different things in the parks. It doesn't stay on any one scene long enough.

Last year's felt like a tour of the parks. This year's feels like a 40 minute commercial.
