Going to WDW March 31-April 8, 2010 - EASTER WEEK.

Gift card promontion does not apply, 4/3 did not apply. We have never received a PIN (but not sure if they would be good this week anyway).

Has anyone found any discounts - PINS or other - that work Easter Week.

I keep getting upset about all the discounts I hear people getting. Maybe I would feel better if I knew others had the same problem.

Thanks Everyone

We are in the same position that you are in, we are going April 1-11 at Pop Century, no pin or discount for us either. I realize we are choosing to go during Spring Break which just happens to be Easter week. We choose not to go in the Summer so we will go, pay more for going at that time of year, and still have a great time. Although a discount no matter how small would be appreciated, free park hopping would be great!

I'm hoping for something, too.
Going March 24-March 31.... have pin code good up till 27th, but after that is blacked out.
Went exact same time last year - which is arriving the Wednesday before the week before Easter, and same as this year, our trip went into that week before Easter.
But last year we had the Kids Free pin and was good for our trip, and before that we had booked at the 4/3 deal before switching to the Kids Free - and the 4/3 worked for our entire trip.
So last year there seemed to be deals that carried over into Easter, but no luck this year!

I'm doubting there will be, but am hopeful to have some type of Pin for the last days of my trip.
In the meantime, working on summer trip and really need a pin for june/july!

Thanks everyone you made me feel better - I was starting to feel like I was the only one paying rack rate. We also went the same week (Easter week) last year and we got the 4/3. I am a teacher so travel days are limited (and we hate the hot summer).

I think after the nice 4/3 deal last year I really had my mind made up that something would be offered this year - of well.

We will have a great time and pray for a late Dec. 2010 pin code or deal. Hoping we can book a good deal on a bounce back for Dec.

Have a great trip everyone

We are going April 3rd - April 9th, we are hoping for some sort of deal also...

I see that you said y'all were in Disney last year for Easter also...can you tell me how the crowds were...I know its the busiest time they say, but did any of the parks that you know of get to capacity and close for the day or any length of time...

Maybe someone will throw us folks going at Easter a lil pixie dust out and give us a lil discount of some sort...

You know if you ask 100 people how busy it was last year at Easter you will get 100 different opinions. Personally, I am a huge planner so we knew what to expect and worked within those factors. We did not find the parks that overwhelminly busy. We had an AMAZING time. We had been 2 times before in Aug. and Easter was so much nicer (I thinkthe great weather helps).

We always hit the parks for EMH and stay until about 1pm. Head back to the resorts and nap and swim. We head back to the parks about 5pm and always make dinner ADR's in the parks so we don't have to move between resorts that much. We usually stay until about 11pm when the crowds have cleared a bit.

On Easter Sunday itself we were at the MK at about 8am and stayed until 1pm - came back for dinner at Crystal Palace and stayed until 11pm. Never once during the week did we experience a park closing.

On Easter Sunday at 9:30pm we were able to ride pirate 3 times in a row with less than 5 minute wait (spectro light was going on and we had already seen it). Frequenly we would get fastpasses before heading to dinner so after dinner we could use them.

Have a great vacation :)

I certainly understand your point about 100 different opinions, LOL, but thank you for yours, I like it!!
OH, and we do plan on having a GREAT time, crowded or not, discount or not...
Merry Christmas

My dates are March 26-April 5th and I was able to get the gc. My Dreams Unlimited TA called on the 21st, got it applied and sent me the confirmation from Disney where it does list the gc at the bottom. I guess since my arrival is before the black out I was able to get it. I have heard conflicting reports on this but for me, I got it. I have seen other posters whose dates end after the gc promo ends and they got it too.

So if your arrival is before the blackout, give them a call and see.

I still hope they will extend teh 4/3 like last year for Easter Week which will save me more than $300 since I am paying rack at Pop Century.

As for crowds, I have been in the peak summer and Christmas week and I just plan to do what I always do, go by Tour Guide Mike's "least crowded parks" days and get there at rope drop. I am not worried because even a crowded day at WDW is still fun! And the long hours are great.

We got 40% off using magical vacation travels. We'll be staying at the poly for
only a little more than we were originally paying for Pop! We'll be there April 1-7, so
that's right in the middle of Easter break. My only complaint is that we can't do
the dining plan, so this will be our first time paying OOP for dining!

Can you give me more details about this - is it an agency - are you the agent? Why no dining?

Thanks

I got the agency name from someone on the April code watch thread. It is an
agency, and I am not the agent, but the deal was good. It's listed as
magicalvacationtravels.com The agency itself is in New Jersey. I was little
wary at first, but I've been able to pull up my reservation at the disney website,
so I'm trusting that it's good.
When I booked, it was only good for GF, Poly, and Wilderness Lodge.
Good Luck!

I just checked their website, and if you click on the Easter 2010 link, I think
they still have the same deal I got.

You mentioned in a PP that you were not able to get the dining plan. Was it not available with the deal or did you just choose not to get it - we love the dining plan.

The dining plan wasn't available with this discount - it was a room only deal, but since
we saved nearly $1500 for 6 nights @ Poly, we decided it was well worth paying
for the food!

Thanks for the info. I will have to check into it. My concern is we are going with a grand gathering and we already all have the dining plan and reservations are made. If we cancel it will mess with everyones plans - Maybe:confused3. I do love the price though.

Please let me know how the trip goes with this company. It is odd that they have such deep discounts during a time when no one else does? makes me nervous.

If it makes you feel any better - they are a disney certified travel agency. I was a little
skeptical at first, but I checked them out and they don't have any complaints with the better business bureau. I can also access my reservation online at the price quoted through the disney website now, so I know I have the reservation at that price.
They are only doing deluxes so maybe that's just the one place Disney needs
help filling up - who knows? I'm just happy with the price, and the folks going with
us really wanted to stay at Poly, so it all works out!

I haven't used them but a good friend of mine has for a few years. I think her agent is Lisa, and she raves about this agency. She gets great deals and sometimes they have given her a Disney gift card.

I would have used them for our Easter trip but that special starts well after our dates begin (its more for the week following Easter, we go the week before). One of these days I will give them a try!

We are booked through them as well. We are going March 30-April 2nd BWV and then April 2nd-7th at the Poly through Magical Vacations. We got a super deal! Much better than I ever imagined during Easter.

Would anyone mind telling me the rate that they paid for the Poly. I am interested if the rate is good but I see on their website that they may not answer my question. I am going from 4/2-4/8 and a discount would make the difference. right now, all I can get is 10% off with AAA, nothing even for AP.
